Part 1: Silver Clouds
Wyvern Moon
Battle of the Eagle and Lion
Many events were taking place this month. The Fishing Tournament and the Battle of Eagle and Lion at Gronder. Eliza was excited for them both. Currently, she stood with Claude, Hilda and Byleth. While she wanted to wander off, Claude refused to let the short blonde out of his sight ever since the incident last month with Death Knight.
"It's finally time!" Claude exclaimed, "The Battle of the Eagle and Lion at Gronder Field is this month. Don't tell me you forgot, Teach?"
"I know a little about it," Byleth admitted.
"You're kidding! Didn't Rhea or Seteth fill you in? Guess I have to do everything myself around here," The Leicester Heir sighed, "The Battle of the Eagle and Lion is one of the academy's annual traditions. It's a huge mock battle between the three rival houses."
"But you know all about rivalry battles, Professor. There was one right after you got here, remember? I hear the Battle of the Eagle and Lion will be held in Gronder Field, far away from Garreg Mach."
"The House that defeats most opponents wins. It's a three way battle that relies heavily on strategy. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?" Claude asks Byleth.
"Hey Claude, what about Professor Manuela? Do you think she'll be able to join us despite her injuries?" The pink haired girl asked.
"I'm afraid she's sitting this one out, as is Professor Hanneman," Claude said then mimicking the older professor's voice, "As my persistent rival will not be present, it only goes to follow that I must also sit out this year's battle. Now leave me be, Claude."
Eliza couldn't hold back a snicker at Claude's imitation of Professor Hanneman. Claude glanced at Eliza out of the corner of his eye and held the faintest of smiles.
"In that case, I must sit out too," Byleth insisted.
"Oh, don't worry about us. You know you wanna see the kids in action," a new voice piques in.
Everyone turned to see Manuela and Hanneman walking over to them.
"If it isn't our own Professor Manuela! All things considered, you're looking well," Claude greeted.
"Thanks to all of you," Manuela said graciously, "But I'd only be a burden out there. My students don't need to see me collapsed. Well, not on the battlefield, anyway."
"Does this mean you really won't be joining us for the battlefield?" Hilda asked her.
"Correct," Hanneman answered, "We will not be participating. Regardless, do not expect victory to come easily. Or at all."
"Well put," Manuela grinned, "We've spent the past few months pushing our students to their limits. You can see me in the infirmary after they destroy you."
"This doesn't seem fair..." Byleth debated.
"Oh my, look at you. If you're as confident as all that, my students will walk all over you," Manuela smirked.
"We have taught our students well. There is no need to hold back. Challenge them with everything you have!"
The fishing tournament was the other major event happening and Eliza had managed to convince Claude to let her hang out alone with Lysithea. She held a fishing rod in her hand and cast the line, "Come on lucky fish."
Lysithea laughed beside her, "It seems like people from every house are participating."
Eliza looked around to see Ashe, Ignatz, Ingrid, Raphael, Caspar, Petra and Catherine. Raphael seemed to be a professional at fishing catching large high quality fish in the pond. Eliza pulled back and sighed, "Another white trout. This totally blows. I wish this tournament was for gardening. Then I would be a top contender for the prize."
