Part 1: Silver Clouds
Red Wolf Moon
The Flame in the Darkness
Eliza was sitting in the dining hall with Lysithea who asked her, "Where is Claude? He is usually following behind you."
Eliza shrugged her shoulders, "I am not sure. My guess is he's at the library researching his own schemes. It looks like it is a Claude free day for me."
"Want to head to town?" Lysithea asked her, "I'm going to go pick up some sweets."
"Sure," Eliza nodded her head.
The two left the monastery and into town. They stopped at the sweets shop and both girls drooled at the sight of many sugary treats. They left with a full bag each.
"This is more than enough for us to eat," Lysithea walked beside the blonde.
Eliza nodded her head in agreement, "We have to stop by the bakery while we are here. They must have the best cakes around this time of year."
Lysithea's eyes lit up as they both giggled. They entered the bakery and sure enough the most perfect chocolate cake in all of Fódlan was on the display before them.
"The icing..." Lysithea fawned.
"The delectable toppings..." Eliza drooled.
"It's perfect..." Both girls had crocodile tears.
In the end, Lysithea carried the two bags while Eliza took the responsibility of carrying the cake back to the monastery safely. Eliza was walking about when suddenly the unthinkable happened. She felt her body get shoved and she stumbled.
"Eliza!" Lysithea said to her worried.
Not the cake, Eliza widened her eyes in fear as she struggled to regain her balance. The cake itself was near total destruction when someone had caught her. Both girls released sighs of relief when the cake was okay. Eliza was back on her feet with Lysithea beside her.
"Are you alright?" Lysithea asked her.
Eliza nodded her head, "I think so."
Her blue eyes looked over to see who had saved her and the cake. She saw a boy with long brown hair and olive green eyes.
"Pardon me," the boy bowed, "I didn't mean to push you."
"It's fine," Eliza said, "No one was harmed."
"Please, allow me to make it up to you," the boy pleaded, not letting her off the hook.
"Unfortunately we do have places we need to go to," Eliza said, turning down his insistent attempts.
She tried to walk away when the boy grabbed her wrist. Her eyebrow twitched as she allowed annoyance to lace her tone, "Excuse me. I am going to have to ask you to let go of my wrist."
"Not until you allow me to make it up to you," the boy stood his ground, "You are the most beautiful maiden I have seen and I would love the opportunity to get to know you more."
Where was Claude when you needed him, Eliza thought to herself.
"Eliza, we really should go before the professor starts looking for us," Lysithea tried to help get her friend away from the persistent suitor.
"I'm sure your professor will not be upset if you arrive a little late," the boy pulled Eliza's wrist.
"What do we have here?," Claude's velvety smooth voice put a stop to the boy's advances.
