As I make my way back up to my room, having spent the evening at Ellie's place, I pass a tall skinny tattooed guy in the corridor. I know I've seen him before somewhere but where.
Oh, he was in the shop, looking at drums on my first day. I pause to say hi and we start chatting. He tells me he's studying music here so I tell him I'm doing music production, having already got a degree in music. He's gorgeous but not quite as cute as cute guy. He tells me his room is on the next floor and he was escorting a slightly drunk friend back to his room. I laugh. I've never been sick through alcohol or had a hangover. I'm lucky I guess. I tell him I'll see him around and as I go to make a move I hear him say he hopes so. I grin and carry on my way.
Toni is home before me for once but all I can hear is snoring. I head into the bathroom and I swear it smells like sick in here. I sigh and spray some air freshener around after I've washed my face and brushed my teeth. I get my pyjamas on and collapse into bed, utterly exhausted.
I wake up early again and hearing Toni's snoring, decide I'm on the coffee run again. I dress in a pair of denim shorts and a flowy top, too hot to worry about how I look. I make my way downstairs and to the cafeteria where I get two coffees and take them back up. I put Toni's in the usual place and take a sip of mine. I'm due in work in 45 minutes so I quickly brush my hair and French plait it before sticking on some make up, grabbing my bag and leaving.
Mike, as he told me last night, pops in around lunchtime and as I'm due on my break, we go to get something to eat.
"My roommate and myself are having a small party tonight. You coming?" he asks. I think for a whole 5 seconds before nodding.
"Who else is going?" I ask.
"Just some of the others on our course" he tells me. I smile, glad I've made another friend and thank him for inviting me.
"Do you want me to bring anything?" I ask.
"Just your pretty self" he says, smiling at me. I laugh at his words and tell him I'll see him later.
