☆•Sickly surprise•☆
•Kokichi's POV•
"I think that would be nice.."
Shuichi Removed his foot from the door and kindly smiled. Earlier we had exchanged keys so I closed the door and locked it. I leaned my back against the door and sighed. I was exhausted but happy.
"I didn't think I would have gotten to spend a whole day with Saihara-Chan, he said he wanted to hang out with me again tomorrow!"
I felt my face heat up as I placed my hand on the side of my cheek. The feeling i had felt for so long had come back reminding me of why i felt it in the first place. It was love...or at least I thought it was. I didn't fall in love that often, forget about first glance, but Shuichi was just perfect in everyway to me. He didn't need to be super strong, tall, or friendly.. I just lucked out.
I felt pretty mad at myself though, I knew it wouldn't be very smart to fall in love during a killing game, but sometimes people can't help it..
I smiled to myself as I went to lay down on the bed.
•Shuichi's POV•
I had just gotten back to Kokichi's dorm and I flopped down into one of the chairs.
"I finally got to know kokichi better..." I said out loud.
I felt proud of myself for being able to understand him more. Under all of his lies he seemed to be a nicer person than he made himself out to be. I felt some sort of feeling, It was such an unfamiliar feeling that I didn't know how to express.
"Maybe this motive isn't to bad..."
Something about Kokichi did irk me though, throughout the day I couldn't help but notice he was bothered about something, I couldn't really blame him though with this motive going on. I decided to push that thought to the side and I went to go brush my(?) teeth.
As I entered that bathroom I observe that the mirror had been replaced by monokuma. I walked over to it and examined Kokichi's face more than I did this morning. All of his features were the same as I could remember them from his beautiful and vibrant purple eyes to his frizzy long hair. A few things were more noticeable now though. His hair was thin, something you wouldn't notice from first glance and his cheek bones were more noticeable than the first time I saw him.
I think back to that observation i made a day ago, about how kokichi had seemed to be getting thinner. His fingers had become boney and thin and his face was more slender and prominent. His uniform draped over his small frame and he looked exhausted all the time. Once again, I try and push that thought to the side.
After I finished in the bathroom I carefully untied the checkered scarf.
"what was Oma freaking out about earlier...oh"
I saw deep cuts along his neck and his collarbone was very visible. I shakily placed my hand on the scars feeling every indent.
"W-what happened? Why are there scars on his neck?" I was so confused.
"What do I do...maybe I should talk to Kokichi, no I should probably wait until the morning.."
I decided that I would talk to him in the morning so that I wouldn't overwhelm him. I looked around the bathroom before I left and noticed sticky notes pasted to the wall, each with lower weights than the last. The sight brought tears to my eyes as I grabbed the one with the lowest number and the most recent date and I chucked it in the garbage bin.
As I finished I couldn't help but feel awful and guilty. I had never noticed any of this happening, the suffering he could have been going through and I didn't notice.
I walked out and sat on the bed. My head was filled with many overwhelming thoughts and questions. I rested my head in my hands as I continued to blame myself for not noticing or bothering to check up on kokichi. God...
The night time announcements went off so I decide to try to sleep. I pulled back the covers of the bed and tried to sleep but no matter what my eyes wouldn't stay closed. Many hours pass but not a single minute of sleep. I decide to sneak down to the kitchen and grab a small snack.
•Kokichi's POV•
I woke up, drenched in sweat, gasping heavily.
"Shit...another one of those damn nightmares..."
I hauled myself upright and leaned onto the backboard of the bed, I was trying to collect my thoughts. I had nightmares like this constantly, on the nights I would sleep. Constant memories of the many gruesome deaths in my life haunted me at every point of the day.
I pushed back the blanket and hopped out of bed sliding on some slippers so I was not walking barefoot.
"Might as well go get a glass of water..."
I locked the door behind me and started walking towards the dinning room. As I grew closer to the kitchen I couldn't help but feel paranoid as if someone was watching me...I opened the dinning room doors and I heard someone else.
"Kokichi?"
