Isadora Rose:

In my opinion, Nicky Minaj is one of the best rappers of this generation. I currently have 'Anaconda' playing on full volume and I'm not mad about it.

I don't care what anyone says, music is one of the best forms of stress relief out there. It makes you forget about your life around you so you age only thinking about the lyrics you are listening to.

I finally pull up to the house and I feel a sense of relief. My siblings are the reason I'm here right now. I didn't think I was gonna make it past sixteen but they made life worth living. They are my life.

Before I can reach the gate, the door swings open and a squealing little shit comes running towards me. Rico jumps into my arms as I squeeze his small body.

"There's my little man," I say as I carry him back into the house, " I missed you."

I place a kiss on his head when I place him on the couch. Another one of siblings comes out to greet me but with much less enthusiasm.

"Hey, how was work?" Santiago says not even looking at me. He's texting a girl probably, slut.

"It was alright. But I have to go to the diner at 5:30, so I'm just letting you know." I hate that I have to leave them like this but it's the only way I can afford any of this: the house, food, school.

"Is Mia in her room?" Tiago sullenly nods in response and Rico remains silent. They hate seeing their sister in such pain.

I calmly go upstairs and gently knock on her door. The last things she needs right now is for me to be pressuring her or making her feel worse.

"Mia, honey, it's me. Can I come in?" I speak softly, just loud enough for her to hear.

"No." I hear the pain in her voice and it breaks my heart.

"Okay, that's fine. Can I just sit out here?"

"I don't care."

I lean back against the wall and slide onto the floor.

"Do you remember that lady who kicked us out of the motel a couple years ago?"

Nothing.

"Well, the motel actually burned down a couple days ago. No one got hurt or anything but it made me feel good." It was a weird sense of accomplishment.

"When someone treats you like shit and you can't really do anything  about it, it sucks."

"But I believe in karma."

"Really." I hear a muffled response through the door.

"Oh totally. I read this thing in the paper once about this guy who cheated on his wife ,but then the mistress gave him chlamydia and then he broke his dick in a bicycle accident." Mia laughs lightly at the bastards life story.

"Or do you remember when I dated that guy Eddie?" I say as Mia opens her door and pokes her head though the small crack.

"Yeah, what about him?"

"He ended up breaking up with me so he could get back together with his ex but she was already dating another dude." Her eyes fill with shock.

"That's not even the best bit."

"Dios mío it gets better!" Mia exclaims while sitting across from me on the floor.

"His ex was dating his mom." Mia chokes on air and I burst out laughing.

"Holy shit."

"Mia Angelina Rose! Watch your language!" We both remain silent for a second until we can no longer hold in our laughs. I tumble over and clutch my stomach.
