Isdora Rose:
"Is everyone ready and in position?" I hear Alessandro question through the earpiece.
"We're all good from west." Davi responds monotonously from beside me, nothing out of the ordinary.
"All set on north with us." Laura adds.
"And everything is fine in the east. Isadora, move in when you're ready and give us the signal once you're in."
"Good luck everyone."
With that, gun in hand, we move out of the bushes and up to the nearest entrance. Two men in black come into view as Lola and I share a communicative glance.
Lola takes the first shot, straight between the eyes, as I follow close behind. These men were fucking amateurs.
"Guards are down, we are moving in now." Davi communicates throw his earpiece, nodding towards the door.
Barging through the towering oak slabs, we now stand ahead of rows upon rows of cells decorated with chains. No one can be seen from where we are yet we keep our weapons drawn.
"Where the fuck-" I mutter under my breath before I hear shots fired from above.
Looking up into the ceiling, I see groups of armed guards flooding around us. Fuck.
"Come in now, I repeat, come in now!" Lola beckons into her eye piece as shots fly from all directions.
A piercing feeling overcomes me as my knee caves in. Shit, I think as more armed guards run rings around us.
"Isadora, are you okay over there?" Lola asks warily.
"I'll be fine, it's only a graze." I wince at the next step taken.
I fire shots recklessly, just praying for a hit. Davi calls out for help as he is backed into a corner, helpless.
Lola attempts to clear a pathway for him only to be hit herself."Lola!"
That's when I hear the doors burst open, Alessandro, Andrea and Tristan coming into view with their weapons at the ready.
They clear out a majority with their fire as other attempt to flee only to be met by Julia and Laura. Meanwhile, I scurry over to Lola who is already held by Davi.
"Oh god." I whisper as I take in the blood bleaching her shirt. My hand flies up to her torso to suppress the blood to no avail.
"It's alright, prima." She whispers to me, her hand coming up to mine.
I feel my eyes water up as my mind goes blank."No, it's not alright. You can't die now. You're too young, you're not ready-"
"I knew what I was walking into."
"I'm so sorry."
"Don't apologise, I should be thanking you. You have unknowingly saved me so many times, Isadora." She tells me through a fumbling smile.
"Lola-"
"Tell my sisters I love them and tell them I died knowing they love me."
I bring my hand back up to her chest only to feel nothing. No rhythm, no beat, no nothing.
"I am so sorry, prima." I whisper, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Davi, take her to her sisters." Andrea instructs from behind me as I feel a hand caress my shoulder.
"This is not your fault, Isa." Tristan tells me as I avoid his gaze, only watching Davi raise up her limp body.
