~ I think I got too excited... ~

"Time to dig in~"
They all swarmed around the circular grill filled with sizzling pork belly and various types of vegetables, astonished with how the oil oozes out while it glistens under the reflection of the light.

Surely it tasted like paradise after each bite as it melts in their mouths. One hummed after the other, expressing their amazement. As anyone would, they indulge themselves in such scrumptious food.

If anything, most of them were eager with chopsticks on their hands, waiting for the pork to cook. They were restless with the thought of eating too little on a day when they didn't have to pay for their meal.

"Don't worry, you should eat more."
Although Sunoo wished that Jake wouldn't order extensively, Jake's fill mattered more than what was remaining in his wallet. "Here." He shoves a lettuce wrap in front of him.

"I'll pay on your behalf."
Jake consumes the wrap completely, leaving Sunoo baffled as he was caught off guard. He still had his hand in front of Jake who stared at him, head tipping to the side.

"You really... don't have to."
He finally pulls his hand, supplying Jake the space to carry on eating. Was it because his wallet was saved or the little gesture that got him all skittish? Either way, it made him exultant.

From feeling giddy all of a sudden, he shoves in another wrap that he assembled.

"You look... like a chipmunk."
Hyunjin leans on the table with his head down and hands supporting him. With his effort to suppress his laughter, the trembling of his shoulders gave him away.

The resemblance was uncanny as the said chipmunk had his cheeks plumped with meat and vegetables. Even Jake was amused like it was his first time witnessing him stuff his mouth.

Sunoo may have wanted to hit him then, but he couldn't help but point at Hyunjin's shoulders, clapping his hands as he laughed with his mouth closed. He had to prevent the food from potentially landing everywhere. The sight would have been morbid.

An hour or two had passed, and everyone leaned on their chairs, rubbing their stomachs. "That was delicious~ We should do that again sometime." All approved besides Yeonjun, "If it isn't my wallet, I'm joining." causing an outburst of laughter.

"See you all at school!"
Everyone departed slowly. It was saddening that the night had to end like that.

They all went to their respective paths while Sunoo and Jake walked to their bikes. The two felt that the evening fell ephemeral, supposed that they could have done more amidst the quick ticking of the clock.

"Hmm."
The two locked eyes. A glint of mischief so evident. Before the time catches up, they hit the road.

As they biked to an arcade ten minutes away, they enjoyed the breeze brushing past their skin, their hair moving along the flow, and felt ecstatic.

Jake often pedalled quickly to arouse Sunoo's competitiveness, knowing that he wouldn't want to seem slower. He stood correct as Sunoo was already ahead of him.

His legs soon grew tired, and his pace was almost snail-like. "Let's stop-" he puffs out, hitting the breaks. Even if he gasped for air, Sunoo found himself funny that he was in misery, fitting giggles between his pants.

"Basketball is going to be a blast."
Jake comments, waddling like a penguin while sitting on his bike.

"At least it will help my lungs."
Sunoo's mum suggested her son be accustomed to physical activities to get used to his issue. Relying on the fact that he suffers, he grew rather slothful.
