Mishap
~ For the first time ~

Leaning on the doorframe with her arms crossed over her chest, Yuna observes how Yukon placed the unconscious boy on the bed gently, staring at the beauty for a couple of seconds. It's those tender, loving eyes again. Yukon always looked at him that way with so much love and adoration. He always had. There is no way Yukon does not care for Sunoo with that look in his eyes.

"I'd rather have you not tell him that I was here— that I took him."

"Okay... but why?"

"I know he tends to give back... It would be nice if it were a chance for him and me to talk again, but it would hurt if he chose not to... uhh, give back after knowing it was me."

"...Alright. Thanks for helping me and Sunoo. Especially him."

After her acknowledging appreciation – now turning into his departure, she watches his figure fade into the distance. She could never wrap her head around what happened between them but stayed mutual. Yuna witnessed him disappear from the picture in silence, and that was it. No more sign of Yukon and Sunoo together. Just Yukon... and Sunoo. The two never spoke of the issue, and it was none of her business, so she zipped her mouth and acted like nothing happened while having to walk on eggshells around solemn Sunoo.

She sighs, entering the gymnasium to pick his things up. "Girl– I have been looking everywhere! Where were you?", "I was in the clinic... Sunoo happened to have passed out on the way there." Before she even finished her sentence, she could hear rubber shoes sounding footsteps squeaking away. Yuna did not have to look. She already had a hunch of who it was with ears constantly perked upon the mention of his friend. "Is he okay?" Su-Jin inquired, concern evident in her voice. "He should be once he wakes up. He's just... exhausted." Knowing that the poor guy struggled a lot with his health being one of the reasons for pulling him back, it must be depleting on his part.

"Thirsty..."

"Okay, sit up."

Home? Why is he back there? He does not remember anything after the match but chooses not to question it. Sunoo complies with his mother's order of sitting up and downing one glass of refreshing liquid. When did water taste so delicious? As he flutters his eyes open, he finds little Seojun sleeping soundly beside him. "He was too stubborn, not wanting to leave your side. My little boy... He was so worried for you." Feeling guilty while finding his baby brother adorable for caring about him, he caresses his head gently, careful not to wake him up from his snooze.

"Since you're awake, you should eat... I'm pretty sure it has cooled down after a while but blow on it if it's too hot."
His mom carefully passes Sunoo a tray with a bowl filled with chicken porridge, steam still escaping. Looking at the dish reminds him of when he used to feign sickness for his mother to cook him porridge, only to figure he could have asked. All his effort and talent have gone to waste... He only thought of it as food for when one is sick.

He blows on the spoonful of porridge and takes it in his mouth. "Mhhhh..." He hums, savouring it as if he did not have it a few days back. As he was busy appreciating his favourite dish, something caught his mother's eyes. Something she had just spotted on his shoulder due to it hiding under the blanket. She peels the neon green sticky note and sticks it on her son's phone that rested on the bedside table. Although she read "get well soon" and grew quite inquisitive of what was written on the back, she restrains herself. It would not be pleasant to delve into private matters, would it?

"By the way, Jake and Tae-Hee are coming to visit us tomorrow. I think Jakey broke the news and it worried her."

Right. Jake's mom is in town. Totally forgot about that.
