Lemonade
~ I'm overreacting, aren't I? ~

Weeks went by faster than anticipated with Sunoo having better scores compared to before, and praises from his teacher. Never in a million years had he thought that he would find himself outside of his worries and doubt. He wished he knew how to express his great gratitude towards his friend, who has been patient with him through it all, hearing his outbursts of complaints and cries from time to time.

Before you know it, midterms are on their way. Students have been hosting study group sessions as preparation for the upcoming hell. Sunoo could imagine the sleepless nights he will be having, the dark circles under his eyes enhancing. He'd be a living zombie at the end of it all.

"These exams will be the death of me."
Yuna cries, sinking into the chair.

"Four days of misery."
The unnecessary comment had the realization kick in as everyone dropped their heads on the hardwood table, creating a harmonious loud thump.

When will it ever not be nerve-wracking? With the hold of your pen, writing essays as you wish you get it right, using words that make one seem eloquently spoken– shading one of the five circles as you are unaware of what to answer, hoping to achieve the correct choice regardless.

Sunoo has always wished he had graduated high school and college already. But what scares him the most is life after school. The thought of what happens after school never occurred to him back then, only the ease of not sitting in a classroom– listening to lecture after lecture, adding to the fright of answering something you have no words for, but it now spooks the living heck out of him. What more when he does not know what course to take. He and Jake are no different in terms of what to choose and what they want.

It sucks, doesn't it?

"Do any of you want a drink? Coffee perhaps? Or something to eat? It's on me."
Jake, the only senior surrounded by juniors, offers.

It has been hours since they've glued their butts to their seats, taking their studies seriously for once as a group altogether. Group study sessions usually turn from 'we must study to ace this test' to ending up in a gaming cafe or strolling around the place, which very well ups their wide-awake nights.

"I'd like an iced latte."
"Caffe mocha sounds pretty good right now."
"Please get me a chocolate cake~ I'll pay you."
"Take me with you~"

"Okay, so mocha for Yeonjun, chocolate cake for Hyunjin, and Yuna..?"
"Iced latte."

"With vanilla syrup."
Sunoo adds, walking side by side with Jake, who typed the orders on his phone, while the other makes sure he does not bump into a passerby or a post that he quietly hopes the older male runs into for laughs. He has seen it before and can not wait to see it again.

The place smelled of coffee as they stepped foot inside the cafe. There displayed lots of greenery, live greenery complementing the white walls of the area. Something noticeable with the decor was a sack full of coffee beans. Sunoo had to stick his hand in at least once and pick a few.

With midterms coming up, the place stood packed with students they recognized. Some were studying, while a few had other plans as they were on their phones, giggling like idiots.

"Do you mind if I leave you for quite a bit?"
The question had Jake pondering.

"I'm just gonna order something from the lemonade stall nearby. Craving for something cold and sour-y. I won't take long!"
