"The gate."

"I don't understand, you've seen this before?" Robin asked, confused. Steve ushered the group down the steps, "Not exactly." He answered, Robin still pushing. "Then what exactly?"

"All you need to know is it's bad." y/n nodded, sucking in a breath. "Really bad." They reached the bottom of the steps, Dustin turning to Robin. "Like end of the human race, kind of bad."The girl looked between y/n and Dustin. "You know about this how?"

"Um Steve," They turned their attention to Erica, "Where's your Russian friend?" They looked around the room, the Russian guard nowhere to be found. "Shit." Steve quickly ran to the door, guards coming towards him.

"Go! Go! Go!"

They ran up the steps once again and through the door, back into where the gate was. The several people working in lab coats turned to them, Dustin speeding to a stop. "Shit! Shit! Go!" Steve yelled, Dustin leading the group down the steps towards the machine.

The guards burst in, running after the kids. They ran around to the front of the machine, the laser beam blocking their way. "Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!" Dustin continued screaming, not being much help.

"This way!" Steve turned, running down more stairs, guards coming towards him. He pushed over a stack of barrels onto them, waving the group into a room. "Come on quick!" They quickly escaped into the room, Steve slamming the door shut behind them.

He tried to hold it, calling for help. "Robin!" The girl ran to his aid, leaning her body weight against the door as well. y/n quickly raised her hands, the door no longer budging and being held closed.

"Here!" Erica pulled open a vent, crawling inside. "Come on!" Dustin called, his eyes falling to his girlfriend. "Go! Get out of here!" Steve yelled, Robin looking like she was close to tears. "I'm not leaving you!"

y/n turned over her shoulder, throwing her left hand out in the direction of Dustin. The boy fell back into the vent, groaning out in pain. "y/n! Stop!" Blood ran from her nose, pooling in her eyes as well.

"I'm sorry."

She slammed the vent shut, trying her best to keep it closed along with the door. Her lack of sleep along with the constant stress she had been under was not good. She couldn't hold for much longer.

"Robin go!" She ordered, the girl looking at her bewildered. "What?! No! You go!" Steve nodded, "Get out of here y/n! I'm serious..." His words became gibberish, y/n's vision blurring. She released her hold on the vent, praying Dustin wouldn't try to come back and focused on the door.

As she was turning back to the door her foot slipped, the girl falling to the ground. She held her right arm strong, trying her best to keep the door shut. "Steve please! Go! Please-" Her arm dropped, the girl falling to the ground.

A moment later the guards burst in, pointing their guns at the three while yelling in Russian. Steve and Robin quickly threw their hands in the air, one of the guards walking over to y/n. He said something to her in Russian, cocking his gun.

"y/n! Leave her alone!"

"Get your hands off me!"

y/n watched as Robin struggled to get away from the guards, the men paying her no mind, throwing her to the floor beside y/n. The girl slowly sat up, another door opening. Two guards came in with Steve, the boy bloody and beaten.
