Chapter 6 Not your average family.

Everyone has a side they don't show anyone else. To their friends, significant others, or even their families. They hide what they're feeling through fake smiles or bravado. And keep their true identities a secret. That's how the work keeps up the appearance of its temporary peace.
Akari sat on one side of the table with a bored look while Loid sat on the other side of her with a smile. Anya sat in the middle of them with her mouth open and staring at the ground. Underneath them were dead bodies on Akari's side they had khunifes sticking from there head while on Loids side they had none.
In an era which the nations of the world were waging a fierce war of information just out of sight. Two countries were at odds with each other. Ostania, in the east was secretly plotting to start a war. Westalis, in the west, wanted to put a stop to those plans, in order to keep an eye on the actions of leading figure in Ostania's government, westalis set operation strix in motion. Akari stood infront of Loid and Anya's house with her stuff packed in boxes. She thanked the driver for dropping her off. She looked at the house admiring it. The door opened making Akari look and see Loid walking out there home. This was the first time Akari saw his hair not slicked and he wasn't wearing a suit just a white shirt and jeans. Akari felt her face heat up as she stared at him. Loid had a smile on his face.
Is this everything you own? And is it all actually yours not stolen? Loid asked l seeing eight box's behind star. Akari blinked looking back at it.
Yes. Akari said threw her teeth as she then turned back to Loid.
It's not very much. Loid said in his mind looking at the box's. Akari and Loid picked up the boxes bringing them inside. Once everything was inside Akari opened the box that said bed room. It had her blanket and pillow. She felt her face turn red from the embarrassment of having to bring this up.
Uh, Loid... about the sleeping arrangements... Akari trailed off as her blush grew bigger.
we'll be sleeping in separate rooms, of course. we'll share one for appearances anytime we have guests over. Loid said making Akari sigh. She was a bit disappointed but didn't show it.
R-right. Akari said stuttering then heard foot steps making her turn and see Anya with her arms out and a smile.

Mama... Akari mumbled. Anya picked up a tiny box while Loid peaked from the kitchen at the two girls.

Once we get settled in we'll practice the interview. Loid said then Anya and Akari walked to the kitchen while he walked to to stars room. Anya ran to the fridge jumping and turning around to face Akari with her arms wide as she smiles.
This is the kitchen! Papa is good at cooking! Anya said as Akari looked around the kitchen.
Oh, I see. She said with a bored tone but then fixed it last minute. Anya then showed her the bathroom.
This is the toilet. And that's the bathtub! Anya said pointing to the two things.
Wow everything's so clean. Akari said in amazement. Anya walked over to the sink grabing the stoll under the sink pulling it out. Anya stepped on it gesturing to the sink.
I can wash my face all by myself! Anya said with a smile on her face.
You're such a big girl, Anya. Akari said as Anya hopped down the stool then ran out the bathroom with Akari walking behind her. She opened a door in the hallway reavlijg a room. Anya ran to the middle with her arms raised.

Mama is so awkward. Anya giggled placing the stuff animal down on her bed hoping off and showing Akari the next room. They walked to the down the hall she opened the door. This is papa's room! Anya said as Akari looked around.
So this is loids room... it's as boring as I expected. Or at least he wants it to seem that way. Akari said in her mind as Anya closed the door. Then going room next to loids. This is your room, mama. Anya walked over and opened the door. Come in, mama. Anya called over.
Alright. Akari walked into the room. So this is my... Akari was amazed by how spacious it was. What a lovely room. Akari said not faking her amazement. Loid walked in hearing her say she liked her room.
Im Glad you like it. This should be everything. Is the furniture arranged to your liking? I also cleaned a bit. Loid said as he set down the boxes smiling at her.
Yea, everything is wonderful. Akari said with a genuine smile.
I helped clean, too! Anya said with her arms raised.

Am I a good girl? Anya asked looking at Loid. He remembered how she was wiping the window then fell knocking the bucket of water over spilling it over the floor.
All you did was tip over the bucket of water. Loid said with a stright face making Anya's eyes widen in shock not believing Loid said what actually happened.
Shock! Anya said in her mind. Akari started to laugh genuinely something she hadn't done in a long time because of the two's dynamic.
This is such a lovely room, I don't know what to do with myself. Akari said with a smile looking around the room.
What do you mean? Please make yourself at home. Actually, this is your home now so make yourself comfortable. Loid said making Akari stare at him in awe then she smiled softly.
Thank you. Akari said softly. Loid smiled at her getting up then heading to the living room while Anya stood outside her door watching her unpack. I'll come get your boxes once they're empty. While he talked Akari set the empty boxes by the door. Anya was shocked by how fast she unpacked everything.
Loid. I've got everything put away. Akari said leaning against the door frame pointing to her room with her thumb.
You're quite efficient. Loid turned around and headed back to Akari's room. He walked in and saw the one picture frame on Akari's drawers. Ah, this must be your younger brother. Loid said looking at the picture.
Oh, yeah. Akari said softly smiling at the picture.
You said he's also a civil servant? Loid asked as he looked over at Akari.
Yes. He seems quite busy lately so I've only spoken to him on the phone. Akari said as her voice grew sad.

Then let's go to the tailor today. Loid said making Akari's eyes widen a bit in surprises. Anya looked around then saw one last box that said bedroom.

Anya. I'll take care of that! I have my work weapons and poison powerful enough to kill an elephant in there. Anya squeaked at Akari's thoughts making Akari look at her suspiciously. She decided she's just being silly and let it go. They all went to the kitchen.
