The Mikaelson Twins Return

Mummy Time!

Lizzie said, "So, what, do we, like, rush it?" Ric said "It's seven feet tall. We hold our ground until it's close enough to attack." Josie said "Okay, Dad, get behind us." he said "I can't do that. I have to protect you, all of you." Hope said "No offense, Dr. Saltzman, but you and your crossbow are kind of manspread in front of four powerful witches." he said, "Okay, good point." Josie said, "Okay, what can a mummy do to hurt us?" I said "I think we're about to find out." he sent a swarm at us and Josie said "Hope. Em." I grabbed Hope and Lizzie's hands and the four of us said "Bulla." creating a force field, Ric said "Nice teamwork." Lizzie said, "Should we rush it now?" Hope said "Not yet." she said "Now?" I said "No." she said, "I really, really think that we should rush it." Hope said "Wait! On three." I said "One..." She said "Two..." but then Hope and Lizzie started coughing up bugs making me pull me and Josie away from them. Josie said "Resistus maledi." to make sure it didn't happen to her, I said "Light him up Jo." she said, "You know?" I said "You missed the note, hurry." she said "Ignalusa." and blew the flame at the mummy making it disintegrate. Lizzie said "Worst spring break ever."

I was standing with Ric and Clarke as the people boarded the buses. Clarke said "I appreciate the cooperation, Dr. Saltzman. Hope we never have to see each other again. And I hope I never get assigned to look into your school." I leaned on Clarke and said "Somehow I don't think you're that lucky." he chuckled "Probably not, though I wouldn't mind seeing more of you." I rolled my eyes but chuckled as Ric pushed me toward the van "You're not coming anywhere near her." and followed me to the van I said, "Was that necessary?" Ric said, "It was." Kaleb said, "So the mummy ain't actually dead?" Ric said "Well, if I'm right, the mummy's curse is bound by the scarab in its chest. Once the girls siphon the scarab, the curse will be lifted and the mummy will be dead." Kaleb said "Okay, and what if you're wrong?" I sighed crossing my arms "He's never wrong." Lizzie said, "So what now?" Ric said, "Until we get the urn, we wait." Lizzie said "How long do we have to wait? If I have to bug-hurl again, I swear to God, I will never talk to you again." Hope said, "Okay, that one wasn't even remotely my fault." Lizzie said, "Yeah, well, the beetle slime in my tonsils says otherwise." I said, "If you two don't stop arguing it will be the last thing you do." I was getting severely irritated Kaleb pulled me away from the girls I said "I'm grounded Kaleb, chill." he said, "You just threatened to kill your own sister so I don't think you are." Ric said, "Emberlyn, sit down." I sighed and slid to the ground. 

Josie said "Why can't we just give the mummy the urn? Is opening the portal to Malivore really that bad?" Hope said, "Do any of the monsters that have been trapped in there seem happy and balanced to you?" Lizzie said "I'm with Josie. Why don't we skip bug vomit round two and just go and get some pancakes or something?" Ric said "Think of it like this. We'll be setting the mummy free from his prison." Josie said "Hmm. Poor mummy." people came running from the tent so I said, "Can I get up now?" Ric nodded as Kaleb said, "All right, look, we can keep having empathy hour or we can do what we came here to do." I stood up Ric said, "Here we go." Clarke walked up behind me and said "What the hell is happening?" Ric said, "I don't know; he should be dead." Clarke said, "Well, clearly he isn't." I said, "Yeah, we can see that." Hope said, "He's looking for the urn." Clarke said, "What do we do?" Ric said, "I don't know, give him the urn." Clarke spoke into a radio "Hey, can someone give this thing the urn?" someone responded "Can't. The urn's gone." Clarke said "Wh... Who's been in there?" he said "Only our guys." Clarke said, "Do something." Ric said "Kaleb?" he said "Yep." and flashed to the mummy "Nice bling. Don't mind if I do. Lizzie." he tossed the scarab to her which pissed the mummy off I said "Oh, crap. Hurry." Hope said, "Like, hurry hurry." 

Finally, the thing died and Ric said "The curse is lifted. He's gone. Well, Agent Clarke, if we do any more work for you guys, you're gonna have to put us on the payroll. Guess we'll be, uh, on our way out of here. Whew. Good night." After a little bit of driving we stopped and Ric said "Okay. So where is she?" Kaleb said "You doubting my skills? Thank you. Oh, and you may want to lay low for a little bit, sweetie. You're welcome." she gave Kaleb the urn and walked away. Ric said "All right, let's go home. All right. Wait a second." Clarke and his guys pulled up behind us with Dorian and Emma I said "Busted." Hope said, "They have Dorian and Emma." Ric said "Oh... All right. Sit tight." as we drove Josie and I had switched places so I laid down placing my head in my sister's lap. She immediately began messing with my hair as I closed my eyes. Hope said "If you really thought that I said all those things about you, then you hating me all these years makes perfect sense. But with a twin sister, a father, and a grandfather like mine, I'm probably not immune to those issues myself. I don't take it lightly and I would never make fun of you for it. I see how hard Ember has to work to be like me. She struggles daily, she is just like our dad, if she doesn't like someone her first thought is to kill them." Lizzie said, "I believe you." Hope said "What I don't get is why anyone would accuse me of that. Who did you hear it from?" and they got silent and I fell asleep.
