The Mikaelson Twins Return

Rafael and Hope came into the room where I have been laying all day, Hope's words really stuck with me and I was avoiding her. She said, "Em we need you." I said "What's wrong?" she said, "MG and Landon are missing." I immediately got up and we ran through the woods. We found Ric and Kaleb with MG who had clearly been bitten. Hope said "Hey. Dr. Saltzman?" he said, "Oh, Hope, Em, thank God you made it." Hope said, "What-What's going on?" Ric said "MG has a werewolf bite. He doesn't have much time." Raf said, "I bit you." I said "What?" MG said "This is all my fault. Raf, I'm so sorry." Kaleb said "What, sorry? What are you sorry for? He's the one that should be sorry. He's the fool that bit you." Ric grabbed him "No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, stop." Hope said "Hey! Hey. Hey, what's going on? What's wrong? What's going on? What? Hey." Raf said "I remember now. The Elixir. His face. Being back here... I remember who the monster was." MG said "I did it. It was me. I'm the monster." they retold how MG killed Landon. I immediately hugged my sister tightly and fell with her as she sank to the ground hugging me back. Ric said "When you finished your turn, y-you got loose and bit MG. Watching Landon die was too traumatic, too human, so you reverted back and scrambled your memory." Raf said, "I don't want to remember any of this." Ric said, "Raf, where are you going?" Raf said, "Away from MG before I finish the job." Kaleb said "Hey." Raf said "Landon's body is out there. I'm gonna go find it." 

He walked away, I whispered, "It's ok Sissy, I got you." I heard her voice in my head Save MG. Let him die. Em. Hope. finally, she stood and pulled me with her, "I need your knife." she saved MG and then we followed Raf, we found him sitting with Landon's dead body, she sank next to him and sobbed and the more she cried in pain the angrier I became, but I tried to shove it down because at this moment she needed me to be strong for her. So I sat next to her and held her hand. We all looked up as Kaleb and MG walked over, Raf was also pissed and stood up ready to attack. Hope and I scrambled to our feet as she pulled on his sweater "Raf. Raf. Please, Raf. Raf. Landon wouldn't want this. He wanted us to be better. Give him that respect. Give him respect." he nodded and I pulled them both into a hug and they held me tightly. MG said " Uh... Am I still delusional or do y'all see this?" Landon started to smoke Raf said "Put him out, Hope." she said "Uh... Adiuuatur. It's not working. I... Wh-what's going on?" Ric said "I don't know. I've never seen anything like this." Landon burst into flames leaving an ash statue of his body. Kaleb said "Damn." Hope went to walk forward but Raf and Ric grabbed her as Ric said "No. Not yet, not yet. I don't think it's over." I said, "What's not over?" Ric said "We've been wondering if he's supernatural. We have our answer." and Landon literally rose from the ashes like a real-life Phoenix and all he could think of saying is "What's going on?" Ric said, "You ever heard of the legend of the Phoenix?" I said "Well damn." and I headed back to the school to go to bed.

At first, I and Hope were sparing with Ric but this girl had serious anger that kinda rivaled mine so I stepped back to watch. Ric said "So, what's wrong with you?" she said, "Nothing, I'm fine." I said "Landon told me about your little incident." she rolled her eyes "Isn't boyfriend confidentiality a thing?" I said, "Not when it comes to me." Ric said "He's just worried about you, that's all." she said, "He doesn't need to be." Ric said "Are you sure? It seems like you're manifesting a little stress and anxiety. My guess is, you're still dealing with the trauma of seeing Landon dead." she said "I've been through worse." Ric said, "I mean, with your family history, I just want... to make sure..." I said "What? So she doesn't end up like me?" she said, "I said I'm fine!" and knocked his ass on the ground then said "Okay. I... I could stand to blow off some steam. I'm gonna... go check the woods to see if I can wolf out. Coming?" I said "I'll pass." and she headed into the woods. 

Lizzie brought it to Ric's attention that he may have forgotten a tiny detail of being a school for the rich brats. So he called a meeting and said "I have some news. Many of you, like me, have forgotten that we are hosting this year's Miss Mystic Falls Pageant. Trust me, I know. But the rotation is set in stone. So, let's take the opportunity to maintain our image as a normal school for the rich and awful. As usual, anything remotely magical, enchanted, vampire, wolf, or witch-related must be kept tucked away, hidden, and under lock and key. Now... with your chore assignments." Lizzie said, "Okay, so we'll split into teams." Hope and I was assigned animals.  Landon came in with rats "Hey, Hope. Do you have any idea where these guys go?" Hope said "Yeah, anywhere but with the birds. The ravens and the finches are fine, but the rats drive the owls crazy." Landon said "So I've been thinking about why you've been acting so weird." she said "Suddenly everyone's got a psychology degree around here." he said "No, I just, I just think you have cold feet." she said "About what?" he said "Us. You know, we're good. We're finally in a solid relationship based on honesty and openness and... I'm indestructible. You're relatively indestructible. We finally have a long, clear road ahead of us, you know, with no obstacles. Who is that?" I saw Roman and was pissed I started toward him she said "Um... That is Roman. My ex-boyfriend. Ember. Wait." 

Roman said "Em. Listen, I know your pissed, but can we talk about it?" I said "Talk about it? You want to talk about how you helped your mother and my uncle kill my mother?" he said "Please." I sighed "Fine. But first, what are you here for?" he said "Dr. Saltzman's been a little overwhelmed, so, uh, I've been doing a little... recruiting recon for him lately. But he asked me to come in today and lend a hand." Hope said, "Oh, uh, this is Landon." Landon said "Her boyfriend. And a Phoenix. By the way, which is... so cool." causing me to roll my eyes and Roman to chuckle but said "I better go find Dr. Saltzman. Em?" I sighed "Yeah, yeah, go on." and I followed him out of the library. I said "So talk." he said, "First what do you think of your sister's new boyfriend?" I said "You know this whole monster thing?" he nodded so I said "Landon started this whole mess by stealing a knife." he grinned "So you do hate him." 

I said "Of course I do Roman." he said "Listen Em, I'm really sorry. I swear I didn't know my mom was going to hurt her, she said if Hayley bound her werewolf side she'd let her go." I saw the truth orb was blue meaning he was telling the truth. I said "Your not supposed to have that out with the humans around. But fine, you didn't know. How does that make it any better? My mother is dead, then my father killed himself. I'm all alone Roman." he said, "What about Hope?" I said "She has Landon now. She doesn't even really sleep in our room anymore, she is all about her boyfriend." he said, "She didn't do that when she was with me." I scoffed "She tried but you'd always invite me to join you guys." he hugged me "I'm still here for you, you know." I sighed and hugged him back releasing my anger for him as I said "Thank you." 

We got partnered up with Landon to find out who is turning people to stone. Landon said "So this has got to be weird for you. Lots of emotions coming up, been a while since you've seen Hope." Roman said, "I thought we were supposed to be looking for the boulder bandit." Landon said "Yeah, about that. Are you sure I'm not looking at him?" Roman said "Uh, yeah. Yeah, you solved the case, Sherlock. I'm gonna turn the entire school to stone, steal a horse from the stable, and Hope, Ember, and I are gonna ride off into the sunset. Stop beating around the bush. Ask me what you really want to know. Do I still have feelings for Hope? Yes, of course, I do, and I always will, but she would never get back to me. And, look, you don't have to trust me on this, but you should definitely trust her." Roman turned around and walked away I ran after him "Hey Roman, does this horse take us to Disney World?" 

Roman chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulders "Anywhere you want Emmy." I said "No one has called me that since mom died. Come on, Lizzie dropped out of Miss Mystic Falls and entered Hope in her place." we headed back to the school and he said "Why? She has dreamed of this ever since this school opened." I said, "Dana's mom is the head judge." I walked over to the twins as Josie said "Do you know where that dress came from?" Lizzie said, "It was a gift from some guy that had a crush on Mom." Josie said, "From Klaus Mikaelson Lizzie, Hope, and Ember's dad." I said "My dad..." Suddenly a lot of emotions came crashing over me, the feelings of when my mom died because of Roman's return and now my dad. It was more than I could take, and suddenly Roman grabbed me and vamp sped away. We appeared in a meadow that we used to come to when we were younger and he held me as I cried.
