Nina's POV

Once I seen Luke standing there waiting my heart sped up. Maybe I had the thought that this wasn't real and it was all just some joke. That thought changed as I got of the car and walked toward him. Just by looking at him you could tell at any moment he'd piss himself. I stood there awkwardly waiting for something to happen but he just stared at me.

"Nina you look really nice, why thank you Luke" I mocked, aiming at at luke.

"Uh ha, yeah um you uh wow... Haha you look um.... wow, amazing." He was more nervous than me.

"So um.. are we eating out here or is this not the place..." I asked looking around. I loved it to be honest, there were vines going up the sides and all gathering on the roof.

"Right I'm yeah, this way" He put his hands out I front of him to motion for me to go. The inside was much much different then from what it seems outside. There were two separate parts, a beaded blanket to separate them. One side was where we were, the other side looked much more comfy. I tried getting a better look but Luke grabbed my hand.

"Our table is already ready" He smiled. His lip ring wasn't in, did he seriously take his ring out for this? He did the usual pull-the-chair-out-then-struggle-to-push-me-in thing but the effort was kind.

"So... um how was your day?" I asked taking a glance at the menu.

"Hectic" he laughed. "Ashton and I went to buy a couple things at this store right up the road, it was pretty cool but by the time I got done I had to find somewhere for now and we passed here so I just... kind of stayed." He was looking at the menu, his brows going up everyone and then. From what I seen its probably because of the price of this place.

"That sounds fun, hectic" I smiled. I'm pretty sure that everyone around us can feel the awkwardness.

"So um.. uh wha- ho- um I seen this board shop, as Ashton and I were driving" He mustered.

"Sorry to interrupt, My name is Kyle and I will be your waiter this evening, would you guys like more whine?" A tall blonde stood hovering above us. I took one look at him before keeping my eyes on Luke.

"Babe, I was thinking we should try the fruit punch" I looked at him expectantly. He just stared at me in confusion for the longest time.

"Yeah, can we get something flavoured of fruit punch?" The waiter looked at Luke then me, and smiled.

"Most certainly." I made a gagging face as he walked away, I hate pervs.

"Could he get any more creepier?" I leaned over to whisper at luke. "anyways, so what kind of boards were they selling?"

By the time the waiter came back, Luke and I were ready to order. I got a salad and Luke got a fancy styled hamburger. We continued talking about skateboard, then from there it was just bullshit. The wine was definitely helping with us loosening up. In fact, we became so comfortable with eachother that we'd laugh way to loud. A total of six people told us to shut the fuck up. In the end we laughed even more considering that it was these polite rich dicks who were angry.

"Your kidding!" I asked taking another sip of wine.

"No... he was just walking around... with his phone... saying... 'it's close'" He was laughing as well as I was. Tears were gathering in my eyes from the amount of laughing. I couldn't even talk with how much I was laughing so I just sat there with my head tilted back, laughing.

He was staring at me, beginning to calm down laughing which made me completely stopped.

"I'm sorry to say this but you guys have to leave." A more formal person came to our table.

"Why?" I turned my body to give my full attention.

"Well, um we've asked you plenty of times to be quiet and-"

"And because these rich pricks who have cactuses stuck up there ass and no interest in their relationships we must discipline you two, the only couple" I paused to look around "to be enjoying themselves." I got up.

"I'm sorry but we-"

"Save your fucking apologies" with that I walked out.

"Nina! Nina just.... wait up" Luke yelled but I kept walking. "Where are you going?!" Fucking assholes, it's not my fault they have to pay for their relationship.

"I don't know right now I'm just walking" I was actually having a really good time. Maybe I'm not supposed to have a good anything. Luke was walking beside me now, his breathing heavy from running.

"Well..." I had turned onto a backroad, away from the cars, away from all the street lights. Music was playing from a house, I'm assuming some teen that's angry at the world, or just not emotionally ok at the moment. "would you dance with me?" I stopped then looked over to Luke. He was bent over with his hand out, a bag I hadn't noticed was sitting on the ground beside him.

I laughed and grabbed his hand. He pulled me in close then started moving to the music. "Love don't die" was playing so we were moving at a pretty decent speed. We spun, shimmied, and dipped, until the song ended. A softer melody began playing and I recognised it. This isn't the time hunter. Luke stepped back putting his hand out once again. Once again I took his hand and he came closer. We slowly danced in circles, his hands on my waist, mine on his shoulder and under his arm. I laid my head on his shoulder in the middle of the song. It seemed right at that moment.

"Nina.." He whispered. I lifted my head to look at him. He looked at me for a while and I looked at him. The side of his face was lit up by the street light. "I know... I know that you aren't really the dating type, but I really like you. I don't know what it was but every since I seen you last summer I can't not like you. I also know that you don't feel the same way about me..." His voice was low, quiet for some reason.

"Luke" he shook his head.

"No just... give me a chance? I don't know that much about you but I want to, I wanna know your likes and dislikes, your hobbies, your favourite band.... not us... I have been patient but slowly I'm losing faith.. I want to know you, everything your family-"

"Luke just stop." I looked up at him again. There was a mix of emotions running through me: anger, sadness, confusion, sorrow.Slowly he leaned in and for some reason, at the worst time I just couldn't.

"I'm sorry I-i shouldn't have" I took my hands off from him and took a couple steps back.

"We should go, they might be worried." I watched the hurt grow on his face as I walked away, going back to the restaurant.

We kept our distance as we waited for gorilla man to come pick us back up. Rejecting him, he still gave me the front seat.
