This story is based of the scene in Fantastic Beasts and The Crimes of Grindelwald when Newt and Jacob are sat outside of a French coffeeshop just before they meet Leta Lestrange's brother.

"Do you think Tina misses me?" Newt asked Jacob. He picked up the spoon that was laying on next to the tea cup and saucer and stirred his tea.

Jacob shrugged.

"Her- she- her eyes are so perfect, dark and round and beautiful."

"Don't you dare say it." Jacob told him. "Not that salamander thing again."

Newt rolled his eyes and sighed. They both looked up and saw a man walk from around the street corner. The man was tall, black and wore a suit with a matching hat similar to the hat Dumbledore wore.

"That's him." Newt and Jacob stood up and skipped over to him stopping the man from leaving. "Sir, I am Mr Scamander and this is Mr Kawoski. I'm wondering if you've seen our friend-"

"Paris is a large city, Mr Scamander. If you excuse me-"

"Please. She's an Auror and she's quite important back in America so if you please know anything then tell us."

Once the man knew what type of man Newt was he agreed. "May we sit?" He said in his French accent. Newt let him sit opposite him and Jacob. The man took his hat off when he sat down and placed the hat onto the table in front of him. "What do you want to know?"

"You've seen her, haven't you?"

"Oui."

"Where is she now?"

"I erm-"

"Please, sir."

"She erm is around..."

"Where?"

"Probably in town, shopping, women like to shop, sir."

"Tina wouldn't just dilly dally at a time like this, sir. You must know where she went."

"As I say, Paris is a large place. I haven't seen her since last night at around midnight."

"Where exactly?" Jacob asked.

The French man sniffed the air as if he could smell the Muggle-ness wafting off of Jacob. His eyes nearly turned red when he realised he was sat next to a Muggle. Newt could tell he realised the truth about Jacob. He subtly pulled his wand out and pointed it just above the table at the man.

"Where is she?"

"Far from here, Mr Scamander. I'll tell her you were asking about her-" The man stood up but not before Newt sent a spell his way which knocked him back onto the chair.

"What's your name, sir." Newt asked him still pointing his wand at him.

"Yusuf Kama."

"And?"

"You know what else. You know who I work for."

"Grindelwald, right?" Jacob said.

"Not bad for a Muggle. Now, will you two men come with me?"

Newt and Jacob exchanged looks. "You're lying." Newt told Yusuf. "There is no way you'd tell us your real name and who you work with because you know we'd be smart enough to locate Grindelwald and Tina and rescue her from him."

"Smart, but not smart enough, Mr Scamander. I am telling the truth, well I was..." Yusuf's body started to change. He must have drank a polyjuice potion because he was now resembling someone who looked like Grindelwald. The only differences were the change in clothes and hair cut. Grindelwald put his hat back on his head and stared at Jacob and Newt. "I dare you to Crucio me, Newt. If you really want to save Tina you'd kill me to get to her."

"Newt won't stoop that low, man. Newt has standards and he'd never kill you or a magical beast." Jacob said. Newt smiled at his friend, but kept his wand pointed at his enemy.

"Where do we go from here?" Newt asked.

"Either you kill me here and never find your forbidden lover, Ms Goldstein or you follow me."

"Ok." Newt said softly. "We'll only go with you to get Tina back and safe."

Grindelwald smiled and calmly led the men to where Tina was.
