You and Johnny were very on again off again so this breakup didn't come as much of a surprise. However, each time you broke up it hurt more than the one before it.

"Johnny, just leave!" You shouted down the stairs. Johnny was standing at the bottom of the stairs holding a rose for you. You clearly didn't want it. "I told you to leave me alone! We are over for good this time."

"Babe, I'm sorry. Please let me explain-"

You cried, "No. Just go. You told all your friends my secrets and laughed at me behind my back!"

"I know, but it wasn't meant to happen. I never told them anything on purpose. It just slipped out of my mouth when I was drunk."

"SURE!" You didn't believe him. You were totally heartbroken and embarrassed. You loved Johnny and his friends, but now you couldn't trust anyone. You ignored Johnny and went straight to your bedroom. You went to Johnny's side of the bed and pulled out his spare socks, boxers, spare pair of glasses and a spare phone case out of his drawer. You also grabbed a picture of you with Johnny off his nightstand and carried everything with you, dropping a few pairs of socks on the way, and threw everything down the stairs.

At this point Johnny was standing near the front door so luckily he dodged all of the stuff that you threw down the stairs. Once everything was thrown Johnny grabbed a few pairs of socks and underpants. He put a few in his jacket pockets, but there were way too many to carry. He picked up the now shattered picture of you and Johnny. All of the glass had shattered into tiny shards, but luckily most of the glass had remained in the frame rather than all over the floor.

You glanced down the stairs and saw Johnny picking up the picture. A few square pieces of glass fell from the frame as he picked it up. As each piece fell it exploded on the wooden floor. Although you were angry and hated Johnny. You couldn't let him cut himself. You stormed down the stairs and snatched the broken frame from him.

"Give me that! Johnny, you could cut yourself. Don't touch it!"

"I thought you hated me..." he muttered. "I thought you'd not care if I cut myself on the glass..."

"Of course I'd care. Here, let me check you hands for cuts." Johnny held the frame in his left hand while you grabbed his right hand with both of yours. Your stared at his palm and his fingers from their tips to his wrist. You flipped his hand over and checked the other side. No cuts. You then took the frame from Johnny and checked his left hand after you laid the broken frame on the bottom stair. His left hand was fine too although you did notice a couple tiny marks on his fingertips where the sharp part of the glass had scratched him a little bit. "See? You're hurt."

Johnny took a look at his fingertips. "It's fine."

"No, what if the cuts get infected?"

"They're fine. There isn't any blood. I better go... I'll text Malcolm to pick me up-"

"No, I'll drive you home."

Johnny peaked outside one of the windows near the front door. "But it's raining and stormy out there."

"I don't mind." You didn't let Johnny question anything. You helped him out of the house and to your car. You both got in and drove straight to Johnny's house which took about an hour. You pulled into Johnny's drive way and it was still raining heavily and it was pitch black. You turned the engine off and chatted with Johnny before he went inside.

"Babe, I still really love you. Please don't let this be the end-"

"Johnny. We were together for 9 whole months! You were my first ever boyfriend and lover and you told told everyone!" You started to cry again.

"I know..." Johnny replied in a whisper. "I only told them cause I was drunk, but I never meant to embarrass you. I only told you the truth because I knew you'd hate me even more if I lied."

"But you did lie. You told everyone months ago and I only found out a few days ago! This is it, Johnny. We are done!"

"Darling, please. I'll do anything, please take me back." Johnny was getting upset too. He pulled out a few pairs of socks out of his pocket and pulled out the one rose he bought for her. It was bent a little and clearly thirsty for water. Johnny tried to straighten out the stem pass it to you, but you didn't want it. "Take the rose."

"No."

"Please, sweetheart."

"No. Just go." You said then yawned.

"Please come inside with me. It's cold and wet out here and I don't want you to crash the car on your way home. Look, you're yawning as well. Babe, you can't drive while you're sleepy, it's unsafe. The rain is only going to make it worse." Johnny focused on your face and eyes. He could tell you were tired by the way your eyes looked.

"I'm fine, just go."

"Please? I'll never forgive myself if I let you drive home alone."

"I'm fine, just go."

"Babe?"

"Johnny! Go away! I'll make sure to send anything you've left at my house back in the mail."

"Same..." Johnny whispered. Johnny accepted that you were stubborn and didn't want to get back together with him. "At least we had 9 months of love." he took his seatbelt off. "I'll never forget the special time we had together, darlin'. I love you." Johnny looked into your eyes He touched the side of your face. He felt your skin for the very last time and with his left hand he held your hand. You didn't pull him away from you. You both held hands and stared at each other for a few minutes before Johnny said he was leaving. "I'm going now, ok?"

"Hmm."

"Alright." Johnny pulled his hand away, but you remained holding onto it. "Babe?" You both looked down at your hands as they intertwined. Neither of you really wanted to break up deep down, but Johnny had totally shattered your heart. "I'll never tell a soul about your secrets again." he whispered. He then leaned forward and kissed you firmly on the lips for a few seconds. He then let go of your hand and left the car. You remained in the driveway for some time as Johnny went back indoors.

As soon as Johnny was inside he closed the curtains and cried on the sofa. He was just as heartbroken as you were even though it was his fault. He couldn't believe he lost something so good. He thought you were the one...
