[Johnny Depp] Falling In Love With Your Boss(55)

Johnny Depp is your boss and you fall in love with each other.

Setting: 2020 lockdown

You have been working for Johnny since before you could remember. You started being his finance adviser when you were 25 and since then you'd helped him with all sort of things from being his assistant to helping him clean away empty coffee cups after  work meetings. These days you and Johnny lived together over the 2020/2021 coronavirus lockdown because it was easier to just isolate together than apart. You both stayed in his LA house in West Hollywood, but other than that your lives were pretty separate.

One afternoon you and him walked your dog together, Mutty, and chatted like you always did. Mutty was a blonde labradoodle and he was about 10 years old and you'd had him for most of your adult life. He was getting older so he only required a short 20 minute walk each day.

As the pair of you walked Mutty you and Johnny chatted.

"...So I told him he was making me go  crazy so moving here made the most sense." You told Johnny about what went on with your ex and yourself a couple years before you moved to LA from New York.

"Damn. I remember you telling me he cheated on you. I think you made a great decision leaving New York and coming here, of course, with this little guy." Johnny bent down and stoked Mutty's head and ears. Mutty liked it and licked Johnny's hand. "Did you and your ex get Mutty together?"

"Yes. It was his 1st anniversary present to me.  I just got him some chocolates... I guess cheating on someone is payback for me not getting him a good enough present."

"Aw, darl, don't say that. That idiot doesn't know what he's missing."

"You think so?"

"I know so. You are a great women, and trust me, I've known some shitty people in my time. Let's wait for him to pee and poo then go back to the house."

As you and Johnny walked back home Mutty started to pull hard on his dog leash. 

"Mutty?"

Mutty kept pulling.

"Here, I'll take him." Johnny grabbed the leash from you.  As he took it his finger tips brushed against your fingers. His hands were very warm against your cold hands. You froze in place as he took the leash from you. "Sorry, I bet my hands are really cold..."

"No, they are quite warm actually."

"Really?" Johnny took the leash into his left hand and put his right hand over your left hand. Johnny instantly felt the cold chill from your hands. He stopped walking and grabbed your other hand. "Your hands are freezing. Are they ok?"

"I think so. I'll be ok, Johnny. Your house is only a 5 minute walk from here-"

"But they're so cold." Johnny checked his pockets to see if he had at least one glove spare, but he didn't. "Crap! I don't have any gloves for you to wear-"

"Johnny, i'll be fine. Let's just walk back quickly."

He sighed and agreed, "Ok. Let's go."

As soon as they got back home Johnny turned the heating on and made sure all of the radiators were turned up.

"Johnny, i'll be ok. It's LA in January, it's much much much colder elsewhere in the world."

"I know. I just don't want you to freeze to death. I read somewhere once that girls feel the heat more than men do."

"I don't think that's true-" You sat down on the sofa and removed your coat and scarf. Little Mutty was now running around and chewing on his toys.

"Shh I don't wanna take any risks with you. I need you."  Johnny sat down next to her and placed a finger across her lips. "I mean, I need you to help me with my finances..."

You grabbed Johnny by the wrist and removed his finger from your lips. You smiled at him. "Thank you. I don't know what I'd do if you didn't ask me to stay with you over lockdown."

"Well, I couldn't just leave you alone. I knew you only lived a couple miles away with Mutty and I thought you'd get lonely without a guy- I mean without a friend so you being here only made sense."

"And I thank you so much for that. You're very thoughtful, Johnny."

"Thanks." Johnny blushed and thought of what to say next, "erm, so when was your anniversary with you ex?"

"It was the 22nd of January-"

"Not far away."

"Yeah in a few days. The 22nd of January always makes me sad, but then I remember that it's little Mutty's birthday so it's ok."

"How old will little man be?"

"He'll be 11 years old. Crazy to think I've been single for 11 years..."

Johnny seemed shocked, "11 years? You've been single for 11 years? Like 11 whole years without a man in your life?"

"Yeah. I've been on occasional dates, but nothing long term and now cause of this stupid coronavirus pandemic I guess I won't be seeing anyone for a long time. I guess I should just accept that I'll die alone with my doggy with no babies or grandchildren..." You said sadly.

Johnny frowned. "No, that won't happen. I bet you'll meet someone soon. You're a great girl and I bet you could date any guy."

"Maybe one day... they say dog walking can attract people to you. Maybe I'll meet the love of my life on a dog walk..."

Johnny smiled weakly. Then he joked, "I guess I better keep my eyes open next time we walk Mutty. I'll find a guy for you..."

A couple days later you and Johnny walked Mutty together again. Mutty was wearing a little coat and some tiny dog booties to keep his paws warm in the chilly weather. You and Johnny remembered to bring your gloves today so neither of you had cold hands. On the way home from the walk Johnny stopped you.

"Hey you." He said. He stopped behind you so you turned around to face him.

"What?"

"I've found a guy for you."

"What do you mean?"

"You said you wondered if you'd find the love of your life on a dog walk and I think you might have."

"Really? Who? Is it one of your rock star friends?" You were really confused.

"Nah, it's me."

"Huh?"

"Me. I'll date you."

"You? You wanna date me?"

"Yeah. I think you were right about dogs attracting people to you. I'm very attracted to you, actually."

You were too stunned to speak. "Me?"

"Yes, you and Mutty. I like you both. I know you work for me and that's kind of weird and awkward, but I think you are a sweet girl. I'm very sorry if us being together makes you feel gross. I'd understand if you feel uncomfortable living with me now..."

You stared at him blankly. "I mean... I like you. I just don't know what to think or say. Johnny, you are gorgeous. Every girl in every country of the world thinks you are gorgeous. I would be stealing you from all of the girls if I dated you..."

"So what? I know loving me isn't easy, but it'd be a privilege to date you."

"Aw, Johnny. I suppose I could date you and just see how it makes me feel. I don't want to overstep any boundaries though."

"You won't. I swear."
