Amara's POV
I woke up because I felt a kiss on my forehead. I slowly opened my eyes and immediately smiled because of the beautiful sight in front of me.
"Happy birthday." He greeted me in his sexy, husky morning voice.
"Thank you! Good morning!"
I brought myself closer for my first kiss for another year of my life. Hahaha! Syempre, gotta start another year with happiness and love. I closed my eyes and said a little prayer to thank God for giving me another year of life. I have so many things to be thankful for.
"Anong oras na?" Tanong ko. Ayaw ko kasing umalis sa pwesto ko para lang tignan ang orasan. I just want to cuddle with my husband today!
"7 something? I can't remember." Sagot niya.
Ngayon nga pala 'yung birthday dinner ko. I almost forgot. We invited some of our closest friends lang para mas intimate and mas ma-enjoy namin 'yung presence ng isa't isa.
"Tara, kain na tayo ng breakfast." Aya niya.
"Ih! Ayoko pa. Dito muna tayo."
"Ay nako, tara na!" Bigla niya akong binuhat kaya napatili ako.
"Uy! Ibaba mo nga ako!" Natatawa kong sabi.
"Lalamig kasi 'yung pagkain. Eh ayaw mo pang bumaba. Kaya you left me with no choice." He said while carrying me in a bridal style, palabas ng kwarto. Kapit na kapit naman ako kasi kapag nahulog kami sa hagdan, ay jusko! Goodluck!
"Happy birthday!" Everyone in the dining room yelled in unison. Nakakahiya! Buhat buhat pa ako ni Alex.
"Ayieee naman!! Ang shweet!" Komento ni Carlyn habang nagv-video. Shocks, hindi ako nakaayos! Naka-spaghetti strap silk sleepwear pa ako! Hindi man lang ako nakapag-robe. At 'yung mukha ko, my goodness! As in wala pa akong ayos, kita niyo naman, bigla bigla nalang ako binuhat dito pababa ng asawa ko pagkagising namin.
Tumingin ako kay Alex at hindi ko napigilan na ngumiti kasi nakangisi siya. "Baba mo na ako."
He obliged and gently put me down. There are pink and purple balloons on the walls of the dining room at may nakasabit na mga banderitas that spells 'Happy Birthday'.
They started singing a happy birthday song for me while Alex quickly went to the kitchen and when he came back, may dala dala na siyang cake na may candle na nakasindi.
"Wish!" They all said after singing.
I closed my eyes and thought about what I want. Honestly, I couldn't ask for anything else. Puro pagpapasalamat nalang. If there's something that I truly wish, 'yon ay good health for everyone that I love, happiness and more good memories with them. Lalo na sa mga anak ko at sa asawa ko. And for this new life that I'm carrying.
After that, I opened my eyes and blew out the candle and they clapped.
"Happy birthday Mommy!" Calli cheerfully greeted me together with a kiss on the cheek. She's carrying Aleara and my little baby also did the same thing that her Ate did.
"Thank you, Sweethearts! I love you both!"
"Ate, ako din." Lumapit si Carlyn at hinalikan rin ako sa pisngi at niyakap ng mahigpit. Medyo naguguluhan na rin ako kung kapatid ko ba 'to o isa rin sa mga anak ko eh.
"Happy birthday!"
"Thank you! Hindi mo ako tinirhan ng ice cream kagabi." I pouted.
Pagbaba ko kasi ng kusina kagabi, kumakain sila ni Calli ng ice cream sa kusina, 'tapos wala ng laman 'yung tub pagtingin ko. Eh wala, inaantok na ako nu'n kaya hindi ko na siya natarayan.
