Chapter 13

Vinnie, Dean and I begin filming tiktoks when Jacob and Veronica walk in.

"Hey Jacob.."  I still have a hard time seeing. Jacob with Veronica.

"Hey Syd. What are you guys doing?"

"Filming tiktoks. Wanna join?"

Veronica jumps in front of the camera.

"I do."

"I didn't ask you. Get the fuck out of the way."

"No need to be a bitch."

"I have all rights to be a bitch."

Veronica and I begin to argue. Jacob pulls Veronica away and Vinnie pulls me away.

"Vin. I'm gonna smack the fuck out of her."

"No your not-"

"Why not? She deserves it."

"Even if she does, her family has money don't forget. You know how quickly she can get you for assult."

I sigh and put my head on Vinnie's shoulder.

"I'm dying Vin. Crying and dying on the inside."

Vinnie just laughs at me.

"Baby it's not funny-"

"It's a little funny, but how about we get out of here? We can do some Christmas shopping."

"Fine. Let's go."

"Hey Dean we'll be back."

"Where are you guys going?"

"Chrismas shopping."

"Can I come?"

"What you don't want to stay with Veronica?"

Dean gives me the side eye.

"Fine come on."

We all get in the car.

"I call dibs on the Aux."

"Dean. If you play any Taylor Swift I'm smacking you."

"You told me I'm not allowed to smack people-"

"Fine I'll Tate McRae."

"As long as you play What would you do?"

"Bet."

- at the mall -

I grab Vinnie's hand.

"Out of curiosity, do you still have the ring?"

I grab it from around my neck.

"As if I wouldn't have it. I kept it hanging on the lamp in my bedroom."

Vinnie smiles and kisses me.

Dean rolls his eyes.

"Can you two stopping making out so I can go shopping?"

"Your annoying as fuck you know that."

"You know you'd smash Vinnie don't even lie."

"Ayo- did I lose my boyfriend to my little brother?"

"I mean maybe."

"I mean Dean is a shawty."

"Nope I'm done with this conversation."

Dean and Vinnie just laugh their asses off.

I look into the shop window and see the perfect gifts for Mia, Tabitha, Paige and I.

"Be right back guys."

"What is she buying?"

"Who knows. It's Sydney."

"Alright. I bought 3 gifts at once. Now I need to get gifts for you two, Thomas, Jake,  and Jacob."

"What about Veronica?"

"I am not buying that bitch anything. She can go without."

Once we finish shopping we get back in the car and I get a text from Jacob.

Jacob: where did you guys go?

Syd: shopping, why?

Jacob: Oh, it just got really quiet around here.

Syd: why don't you just spend time with your girlfriend
