3rd Person POV

= Alien Planet, Space =

Finally making her way over to the hole in the desert ground, Brooklyn discovered that it did in fact hold water. So, with her body burning hot, infected, and covered in sand, she reaches down slowly and weakly towards the water. She cups her hands and brings the water to her lips, sipping

The water burns her throat as it goes down. But she needed it. Brooklyn drinks the water greedily, drinking more and more and more. She takes a breather for a moment, looking around the desert area, breathing heavily from drinking so much water so fast

The sun is beating down hard on Brooklyn, heating her body up quickly. Her mind spins with dizziness -- from dehydration, heat, or the infection, she doesn't know -- but it spins quickly and black spots dance across her vision

She is tired. She is dizzy. She is hot. She is dehydrated. She is infected. She is tired. She is dizzy. She is hot. She is dehydrated. She is infected. She is tired...dizzy...hot...dehydrated...infected... alone. The hard truth hits her and almost knocks the wind from her lungs. She is alone

Brooklyn slumps to the side and then falls into the hole, her entire body submerging into the deep water on the alien planet. She didn't even try to stop it. One moment she was sitting on the desert sand and the next, she was rushing towards the water in the hole. Her skin feels as if it sizzles the second it makes contact with the water, cooling her to the bone

Under the water, her mind spins faster and clearer than it ever had since being infected. She sees things. Visions

FLASH

Brooklyn is back in Amelia Earhart's hut. She sees Memory Sara, Memory Gary, and herself eating the soup at the table. At first, Memory Brooklyn had been very skeptical about eating anything on this alien planet, but her rumbling stomach had won and she ended up eating a few bites

FLASH

Amelia Earhart corners Memory Brooklyn and Memory Sara, putting both girls into a choke hold and trying to either kill or fight them. Amelia Earhart transforms into an alien as she screeches, a stabbing pain erupting in both Memory Sara and Memory Brooklyn. But Memory Brooklyn was high on adrenaline, not feeling the infected wound from the alien. Memory Gary saves the two girls from Amelia Earhart, knocking her unconscious to the ground

Memory Sara, Brooklyn, and Gary run out of the hut. But the Brooklyn watching the scene as if it was a 3rd person vision, steps forwards, analyzing what she could see and trying to formulate an answer as to why she was seeing this. Why was she back in this place as if it was a vision? What did she miss the first time she was here?

With alien Amelia Earhart on the ground, Brooklyn steps forwards and kneels down. The alien was still alive but just knocked out. Brooklyn sees the tentacle that injected both her and Sara with the infection and that's when she realizes. That's what she was supposed to see

The tentacle was the answer. The infection was the answer

Brooklyn splashes to the top of the water, flailing around and gasping for air. She grabs onto the ledge and pulls herself up. Despite being weakened from the infection, her muscle memory kicks in and she is able to do a deadlift pull up quite easily

And once out of the water, Brooklyn flops onto the ground in a gasping heap. She lays on the ground in a wet heap, closing her eyes against the hot sun with her body laying limply on the desert ground

"I..." Brooklyn breathes heavily, her eyes still closed against the bright sun. "...I can...make...an...an antidote." She says through breaths, remembering what she saw in the vision. Antidotes can be made from the original infection. She pushes herself into a sitting position and looks around the area. She sees the forest that she came through while trying to run from the aliens of the planet. "This isn't over." She whispers, looking to the forest
