Dream's POV

I gasped for air as I emptied the contents of my stomach into the toilet bowl. This sucks so bad. I've been in here since 7. Eating leftovers at 6am was such a terrible idea. I should've known better, but I was way too tired to make a healthy breakfast so early since I was up all night messing around with August.

After finishing up, I flushed and sanitized the toilet then washed my hands. I tried hard not to make too much noise, so I hope he didn't hear me. I know he's still tired so I don't want to wake him just cause I'm up. Especially since he drank an entire bottle of champagne by himself last night.

After taking care of my hygiene I headed downstairs.

9:30am

A Gruma "Good morning baby, how are you feeling?" She asked as she strolled in the kitchen just a few seconds after me.

Dream "Terrible. I feel like I need some fresh air though so I'm about to take a walk. Hopefully that'll help." I said as I grabbed a Naked smoothie from the fridge.

A Gruma "Aww, I'm so sorry baybeh but first trimesters are a pain. You sure you can manage being out there by yourself?"

Dream "I'll be fine. Just taking a walk up the road, not going far at all. I just have that urge for some fresh air, you know?" I said while twisting the cap off of the smoothie.

A Gruma "I know, baybeh. Ok, just be care-..." she paused staring directly at my left hand. "Dream, there's a ring on your ring finger" she said pointing and pretty much at a lost for words. "He asked you?" She questioned.

Dream "Yes grandma, he asked me to marry him. He proposed last night after he got back from the 'store', " I said making air quotes.

Her hand covered her mouth after letting out a loud gasp. From the looks of it, she tried to hold back tears which caused my water works to start.

A Gruma "My grand baby's getting married?...Oh congratulations!...I love that for you two!..." she cried. "Ooh, welcome to the family, baybeh. I love you like a daughter already so this just seals the deal." She said engulfing me in a huge hug and giving me a kiss on the cheek as she rocked me from side to side. "He's been had that ring for some time now, said he was going to pop the question soon but I didn't know this soon...Ooh baybeh, let me seeee." She pulled back examining my ring. "My grand baby got good taste." She said smiling from ear to ear. "Where is he?"

Dream "Still sleeping."

A Gruma "Of course he is, late night last night huh?" She winked at me.

Dream "A very late night." I winked back causing us to shared a laugh.

A Gruma "You know, if I could have any wish I want, I wouldn't wish for a better partner for August. You're exactly who he needs. You're perfect."

Hearing her say that means so much to me, it melted my heart. I finally feel like I belong somewhere. Hearing her say I was perfect for him only validated his words to me when we were back in New Orleans in the shower together after he found himself drunk and out of his mind that one night.

Dream "Aww, I love you so much for that. Thank you for loving me and accepting me into your family. This truly means a lot coming from you. I never heard that from anyone whom I look up to as a mother figure. The only two people who ever made me feel like I belong are August and Cardi to be honest....I love you."
