So this is Liz and Alejandra's best friend song and I felt like it should be shown in one chapter of this book before it comes to an end. I know it probably would have been better in the other, but then I felt like it'd be obvious what would have happened. Anyway the song is Stand By You by Marlisa. Sorry, these chapters are shorter than what you're used to!

Chapter 60: Bluebird

Narrator

With Liz.

Finally, she was left to have some space and be alone. She was in the Watch Tower's garden. She was looking up at the tree unconsciously searching for any birds. She was lost in thought thinking back to her last moment with her father.

She started heading toward the beam of light, but her father reached out and grabbed her arm. She turned to look at him.

"Ellie, please" He said, "look at the last bird."

"No" She replied pulling her arm away, "then it'll disappear on me again!"

"Eliza, you can't just throw your life away!" My father lectured me, "especially not for me! You were living it perfectly fine without me!"

"I was forced to live it without you! Besides, I'm not throwing it away." Liz argued with her father, "I'm just exchanging it."

"Then look at that bird and tell me this is what you really want" Her father said. Liz looked down at her binoculars. She hesitantly put them on her face to look at the last bluebird.

Liz awoke from her thoughts when a hand was placed on her shoulder. She turned to see Alejandra.

"Can I sit here?" Alejandra asked. Liz nodded her head. "I just want to say thank you."

"Thank you?" Lizzie said confused.

"For letting me heal you" Alejandra replied looking down. Liz started laughing. Alejandra turned to look at her. She frowned. "Liz, this isn't funny! You almost died."

"Oh, I know" Lizzie replied smiling, "I just find it funny that you're thanking me for saving my life. It should be the other way around." Alejandra looked up at the starry sky above them frowning. Liz frowned and flicked her on the head.

"Ow!" Alejandra complained.

"So I saw my father" Liz replied laying back in the grass. Alejandra turned around and looked at Liz waiting for her to continue. "He doesn't blame you for what happened. I thought you'd want to know." Alejandra stayed quiet. "I want to also say I'm sorry." Alejandra looked up at her confused. "I was angry and I let it cloud my judgement. I thought you were just using me to erase your past. I know you better than that. But I assumed it anyway. So I'm really sorry that I was mad and said some terrible things."

"So we're okay?" Alejandra asked. Liz sat up and smiled.

"Of course we're okay" Liz smiled, "we're partners in crime!" Alejandra hugged her as she laughed. "Careful, you're earth ability is showing." Alejandra looked around and noticed that the plants were blooming from there sleeping state. She looked at her hand raising her body temperature till her hand caught on fire. She smiled her powers were back. That's when it hit her. She realized the cause. The night before they were bound, she had wished that everything went back to how it was when Lizzie had no idea about her powers. That must have subconsciously triggered her to bind her powers the next day. "So I decided what my hero name is going to be..."
