Ugh! I'm just waiting for this sickness to go away, but it's clinging onto me. XP I have to say this chapter did not turn out like I expected. Not sure if it's for better or worse. I'll let you know when I'm healthy. I recently found this song actually and I thought it fit Al's feelings perfectly for D before her memory loss and thought you guys might want to hear it so I put it up. It's called Until You're mine by Demi Lovato. Anyway I am done yapping! Happy reading!

Chapter 47: My Perfect Grade.
Episode 24: Performance
It's been days since the whole fair incident and I still can't remember a thing about that night. I just remember calling the energy to me and after that everything became a blur. When the team woke up, they were all healed and I was unconscious beside Lizzie. There was a purplish haze around the others like a shield. I didn't wake up till we were back at Mount Justice with not a single clue of what happened. They think I saved them, but I don't know. Dick and Wally have this theory that since it's been a while that I felt the gem's energy, the sudden rush of having it all back might have been too much and I lost my memory of that night as an effect. I've been avoiding Mount Justice as much as I could since that night. I might have forgotten how it ended, but I remembered the beginning amazingly well unfortunately for me. I just didn't have the strength to see Kal. If I didn't keep my mind busy, he'd be the first thing that popped into my head and then Zatanna. My eyes would get watery and I feel like I've cried enough to last me a life time. I already had enough reasons to be depressed, I didn't need to add to it. On that note, let me go to what was happening right now. I was currently at school. Dick and I were in health class. Mrs. Campbell split the half of the class up. One half would be picking out names from the other half. I didn't really know anyone well enough in this class to be comfortable around them, so I didn't like the idea of pairing up. But luckily for me, Dick's name was the one that I pulled out from the hat. Dick came over and sat beside me narrowing his eyes at me. I just gave an innocent smile.
"Keep looking at me like that and I'm going to think you don't want me as a partner" I said faking a pout. He pushed a notebook toward me. I looked down to see what was written.
'You used the Gem didn't you?' was written on the first line.
"You guys told me I should practice" I said as I rubbed my eyes. I was wearing hazel colored contacts because my eyes were now purple. I hated them. They made my eyes feel weird. I wasn't used to them anymore, but I had to have them with the whole secret identity thing. One thing I didn't understand was why hazel? My eyes were grey. Dick had to explain to me that my eyes were purple up until I lost my Gem so they never really knew my eye color.
"Not in public" He replied bringing my attention back to him.
"It was a little shift" I said measuring it with my fingers.
"There was a breeze" He said.
"Yeah and there's an open window" I said nodding my head to the window on the other side of the room. He frowned at me and I playfully bumped him. "Come on, D! It's not that bad, but I promise that I will make sure not to use my abilities in public okay?"
"You called me D" He smirked.
"Well yeah...it feels more natural" I said shrugging, "and ever since I got this gem...I don't know what it is, but I feel different...free" Before D could respond, the teacher brought the class's attention back on her.
"So now that we're all partnered up, it's time to talk about the project" Mrs. Campbell said, "you guys are going to learn the importance of parenthood." She pulled out a plastic baby from inside the large box on her desk. "These babies are electronic and they have sensors to act and respond like a real child. Your job is to care for it. It will grade you based on how well it feels you've got the job done. Think of this as your winter break homework" I turned to look at Dick.
