I quickly get up and rush towards him. He grabs my hand and leads me through hallways and up several flights of stairs.

- "What's going on?! Where are we going??" I shout with worry.

Silence.

He does not respond.

We continue to walk through halls, until suddenly he stops. We stop at a big door. A double door. It has very intricate designs engraved into the wood. There are little metal designs added onto the door.

Why did he bring me here?

Jace stops in front of the door and turns around to look at me.

- "Open the door. Carefully." He warns.

Shit. Should I be scared? Probably not. He wouldn't intentionally bring me to danger, would he? I should stop freaking myself out and just open the door.

I reach for the door handle and push open the door.

Oh.

My.

god.

It's a greenhouse. It's full of pretty flowers, and trees. I see fireflies glowing and butterflies flying around the room. The ceiling is made of glass panels. The moon seems brighter than usual, with stars shining. I turn to look at Jace. He's smiling.

So. Cute.

I smile in return.

- "This is beautiful."

- "It really is." He smiles. "Nobody comes up here anymore though." He adds.

I turn away from him and a butterflies lands onto my finger.

It's purple. A light purple, with a dark purple fade coming from its body, into the center of the wings.

I walk down the path a little more before deciding to go through the grass. I take a seat in the grass, full of flowers.

A bunny approaches me. I gently reach out my hand, and it comes closer to me. That's when I stroked its fur.

Jace comes over to me smiling. He's got an apple in his hand. He takes a seat next to me, before cutting a slice of the apple and handing it to me.

- "You can feed it to the bunny, if you want." He smiles.

I nod, and give the bunny a piece of the apple. It nibbles away at it for a while, before retreating and disappearing off into the flowers.

I turn to face him. I see him staring at me with a smile. I return the smile.

Slowly his smile fades, And he breaks eye contact. It seems like there's something on his mind.

- "What's wrong, Jace?" I ask.

- "Nothing, I'm alright. You just reminded me of something." He now looks towards me, making eye contact.

I'm confused. However, based on the change of expression, I don't think I should ask what I reminded him of. Almost immediately after, he started to speak.

- "When I was 9, my father gave me a falcon, he told me to make it obedient. I was supposed to keep the bird blind, but.. I couldn't bring myself to do it. Instead, I touched and stroked its wings, like you, with the bunny." He paused.

- "I tamed it to perfection.. I took it to my father, expecting him to be proud of what I'd done. He said ""I told you to make it obedient. Instead you taught it to love you. You didn't tame it, you broke it."" He took the bird and broke its neck. I cried all night, and I never cried again." He looked at the ground.

- "Did you ever forgive him?" I ask, bringing my eyes back to his.

He looked at me with little to no expression of sadness.

- "He did it to make me stronger." He replied.

I look down, and grab his hand. I examine his ring, before looking back up to his eyes.

- "You are strong. One of the strongest people I've ever met." I smile.

He smiles.

His smile is contagious. It's the prettiest thing in the world. Even prettier than this greenhouse.

- "You're so pretty." He smiles.

I giggle, and look away.

- "I'm serious, y/n. You really are." He lifts my chin, so my gaze meets his.

I catch him looking down at my lips. I'm kinda nervous but he makes me want to be brave. That's when I decide to lean in. I can see him matching my movements. That's when we kiss. It starts off slow and soft, but grows more and more passionate.

A clock chimes, and breaks the kiss. He looks into my eyes.

- "Midnight. Check this out." He stands up, holding out his hand.

I take his hand and rise to my feet.

The flowers bloom, and glow. It's magical. I turn to face him and I smile brightly.

- "I think I've found my new favorite place."

He giggles.

We lock eyes, before slowly kissing again.

The sprinklers start. He breaks the kiss laughing.

- "We should go."

I laugh.

- "Yeah, totally."

We run out, and head down to my room.

We are standing in front of my bedroom door.

- "Are you tired?" I ask, still smiling.

- "Never been more awake." He holds eye contact, before he kisses me once again.

We walk into my room, and continue kissing, when suddenly Alec barges in.

- "Y/n, I need to talk to you." Alec says with a solid expression.

Shit.
