I wonder what caused her to flinch, I know it isn't me, Maybe someone in her past? Not even thinking of my back, I take off my shirt, which is covered in vomit, and hear a gasp from behind me. The past couple days have not been good for the "gasps" so I whip around and scan the room. Satisfied that there was nothing there I focus on Lyza, to see her stare at me with wonder and a slight bit of fear. "What's wrong?" I ask, scanning the room again.
"You have... wings?" She replies, still in hesitant wonder.
"You can see them?" I ask, she nods slowly "Wha... What do they look like?" I ask, semi hesitantly
She looks at me with confusion, "You haven't seen them?"
I shake my head "All I have seen are....." That's when I realize I haven't tried to look at them since I used them. I walk to the door of the room and open it, only to have Ismira fall into me. I catch her and help her to stand. "You could have come in, you know"
"I didn't want to bother you" She replies Indignantly, sounding like she's hiding something
I roll my eyes, "So you eavesdrop instead" I shake my head and step past her "Grow up will you? It's not High school anymore" I hear her grumble behind me but I don't pay attention, I'm too absorbed with my wings. I step into the bathroom and turn my back to the mirror, to see a pair of wings, blacker than the darkest night, folded tightly against my back. I extend one and touch the other side of the bathroom about halfway through, which means my wingspan is about 18 feet in length. "How...?" I whisper, totally baffled.
"What is it?" Ismira asks, startling me out of my wonder.
"N... Nothing, Just.... Just checking something" I shake my head and fold the wing back against my body. Why can't Ismira see them? I shake my head and put on the shirt. More and more questions keep popping up, with no answers making any sense whatsoever. I hear a movement and look up to see the Girls looking at me, Lyza with concern, Ismira guarded. I shake my head "I'm going to bed, and you both should as well, we are going to have a long day in front of us tomorrow." I walk into a room and collapse onto the bed. Of course I'm hit with another Nightmare.... Or... Or is it a Flashback?
