Adam had an appreciation for what Seraina loved so much. Or, she seemed to love. For him it was hard to tell, because Seraina was so stoic. He suspected that she was into music, only because after a while he could see the pattern in how she moved, and how she was always moving in a pattern.
He liked the feeling of the fight he had between Seraina, only because it didn't feel like fighting at all. It felt like he was dancing with her, and some props.
Things went on like that, even after Kei and Karen had finished their fight. Kei and Karen stood and watched at they kept moving together faster, and faster, and faster...
"Stop!"
Karen moved her hand out almost as if she was opening the main doors, and Adam and Seraina stopped suddenly and stood at attention.
"That's enough for today. Thank you." Karen said, dismissing them with a wave of her hand, and leaving the garden. Kei followed her, leaving Adam and Seraina alone.
A silence endured between them for several minutes, in which neither of them moved.
"I'm sorry." Seraina's unmistakable low and quiet voice forced the silence to dissipate, if only for a moment.
"For what?" Adam asked, taking a step forward.
"I'm sorry I can't say anything."
"It's okay, I don't want to force it." Adam replied, his voice softening. He tried all the time to hide his worry, and it had stressed him out, and he took it out on Seraina, the person he was worried about.
Adam let out a sigh, and smiled.
"Well, let's go inside. It's almost time for breakfast." Adam said, leading Seraina out of the garden.
On their way out, he held the door open for Seraina, and she stepped through. Adam moved to follow her, but his eyes were fixed on the sky, which could be seen from the roof of glass. It was the same gray it had always been, but Adam found it intriguing anyhow, the mystery of what might lay behind the clouds.
