I opened my eyes, remembering what had happened briefly before I'd fallen.
The person who'd said that was standing a little ways off from the cluster of people that I'd come with. They were covered by a gray cloak with a hood that was so big it covered their face, and sleeves so long they went well past their hands.
"Until today, the last time someone had come by here was ten years ago. But no matter," they continued, "because you're here now. Let me tell you, the only reason you're here is because there's something you've lost that you'd like to recover. You cannot leave until you do, blah, blah, blah." The person waved their hands as if they were tired of giving this speech so many times.
Before any of us could reply to him, everything swirled away into a point and vanished into nothing.
