It's in the Attic

The heavy wooden door screeched as it opened and the stench of dust and mold hit in my nostrils making me choke. A chilling breeze made gave me shivers as I ventured to step in... In that moment I saw it. "Ah!" I gasped shocked. Its big round eyes glistened red like burning rubies staring at me. My hole body froze and I panicked, my heart racing and hammering inside my chest. The flashlight in my hand dropped to the attic's wooden floor making a thumping noise... Darkness... Light... Darkness... Light... Darkness.

I walked backwards, trying to hold myself to the wall I knew was somewhere nearby, only to trip over some boxes stacked up in a corner to then fall badly to the floor. There was nowhere to go now, nothing I could do, my back already meeting the rear wall.

"Oh God, please no", I moaned but it was late for prayers. Right on my face the labored breathing distilled the smell of raw and putrid meat. Warm and thick saliva dripped on my face and neck. Impotence overpowered the nausea and I felt it was over...

"Geez, Amy!" My sister spoke after turning the lights on. "Stop playing with Fido and bring him down! It's time to brush his teeth.

The chihuahua licked my face. The little devil loved to hide in the attic. How I hate that dog!
