Blood, Bats and Bumps
Pum! There was a heard loud noise. I opened my eyes. Darkness enveloped me. I could see nothing but the flickering green numbers in the alarm clock telling me it was 3:00 am.
Pum! There was the thumping noise again. I turned the lights on and searched everywhere in my room. Nothing. Only silence. I turned the lights off and got into my bed again.
Pum! Damned! It wasn't funny! Pum! Pum! Pum! Louder and louder. I turned the lights on and left my room with a bat in hand. I was alone. Only me in my home... and darkness and that pum! It came from my brother's room. I gripped the bat tightly. I opened the door and turned the lights on immediately!
Ahhhhhhh!!! All the walls were covered in red! Creepy phrases were written in blood! 'You are the next one', it read. The acrid smell of flesh and blood filled my nostrils! Goosebumps raised all over my skin and a cold shiver ran through my spine. Pum! Pum! I jumped with every pum! The noise came from inside the closet.
I walked with the bat in hand. My heart hammered rampantly inside my chest. I slipped... Pieces of human flesh were scattered all over the floor! I held my breath!
My hand turned the dripping in red closet door's knob... Slowly. The door opened making a screeching sound.
Aaaaaaaaah!
I opened my eyes and swung the bat the hardest I could. I hit something. I turned on the lights. I was sweating and panting on my bed...
Oops. Sorry! My hubby was rubbing his head and looking me with pain and confusion on his face. I sighed in relief! It was a only a nightmare!
