Awakening

The soreness in my throat was unbearable and the pain in my body intolerable. An incandescent sun longed to wake me up from what it seemed to be an eternal dream sneaking imprudently inside the tunnel. When I opened my eyes the light was so strong that it burnt my sight. I screamed in pain and after doing so I realized that there was something inside my mouth that wasn't before: a pair of fangs. Terrorized, I ran to look at myself in the reflection of a puddle in the gutter's floor... It was me and I was so beautiful.
