Noah's Ark

'...Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour...', read the billboards on the wired fence around the precinct.

The Noah's Ark was made to preserve life... To keep intact the vestiges of humankind.

Armageddon lashed over the Earth's surface. The beast marked the souls of the poor men and women, children and elders infested with the last of the plagues. Blood thirst heartless beings roamed infesting humanity with the pest.

Faith was lost. God turned His face away and science became the 'Whore of Babylon' that corrupted mortals with every bite given by the undead.

Cries of pain and terror echoed on the craggy slopes and mixed with the thunders' rumbling noise that announced rain was about to fall over the Peruvian Andes mountain range.

The clacking loud sound of the helicopters that hovered over the heads of those who were chosen to be saved was heard while beams of light intersected the dim gray skies. Leading the multitude, a group of soldiers flanked the last ones to enter, hoping their heroic deed would reserve a spot inside the Ark.

Walking crestfallen, the summoned arrived leaving behind memories of a past life of their beloved ones, those who died, but kept walking, forever hungry, forever soulless... Forever zombies.

Men, women, and children, the chosen ones, chanted hymns as they marched in the dim stormy night through the maze built with wired fence. Outsides, a ghastly Minotaur waited to strike at any moment, to snatch a soul and condemn Earth to a sempiternal hell.  Devil was prowling, getting closer to attack, to steal, to deceive.

A loud roaring was heard.

"They are coming!"

The huge iron gates of the Noah's Ark were about to close. It was pouring outside.
