Asylum
shadows in the night
lurking down the concrete wall
like droplets of blood
as they slowly fall
trailing snake-like-patterns
hammers thud
inside my heada feeble ray of light
reaches my bed
fairy dust particles
I can see their flight
litmus feathers tinkling
wings flapping
swirling
their way up
to kiss the angels
locked behind the bars
in the outer world's prison
that keeps humanity
away
that window
the only pathway
to the rumbling insanity
beyond the hedges
of eternityagain, wake up call
cold water on my face
welcome electricity
you make me dance
and bring memories
when memories are
nonexistent
in this lonely room
me and my laughter
loud an resonant
cracking distant
cacophony of jests
retold by spirits
of a broken mind
of a swollen heart
that might be blind
to the lights
to the whites
white walls
white faces
white hands
white braces
white stripes
white robes
a white cellvoices, deep, guttural
a thousand
forming
strolling
in a waving
pace
a distorted race
across the corridors of hell
like roaming lost souls
both sane
and incoherent
because time
is deterrent
and doesn't chime
anymore
inside the precinct
it stands still
inside the crystal clock
minutes, hours only spill
through the spirit
when it's freed
from our fleshy casksin the asylum
demons sing
their ghastly lullabies
they hang and cling
to my feet
stabbing
burning
talking
of death
and hate
'murder!
kill!' they say
when reality is away
fiends are locked
inside my crystal skull
smashed
fractured
with the perennial
agony of my lost childhood
I recall hands
covered in crimson
I...
we did it...
they told us we need therapy
they slide through
my tears and saliva
at least
screams scares
claustrophobia
and the Beast
but they will come
with their steel needle
a pin
that buries under my skin
bringing psychedelic dreams
now demons whisper
to then fall asleep
next to me***What happens inside of an insane head?
