(Y/N)'s pov

"I have to go. See you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, sure."

I nodded quietly and turned around slowly. Something felt wrong, it felt like I forgot something. I quickly patted myself down. Keys, phone, and AirPods... that was about it. I turned around one last time before walking up the stairs. I suddenly felt something behind me which caused me to turn around and see Hunter.

The way he was suddenly to close made me jump slightly.

"Why are you walking outside, too?", I asked as I picked up on my pace.

"I'm walking you outside? What's so wrong about that?", he said sounding generally confused.

Well, my other friends used to always just look at me as a good bye and leave me alone to find my car in the dark.

"Nothing... just a bit confused. Uh, sorry about drinking all the iced coffee", I said talking about all the little packets of iced coffee I stole from the fridge.

"Oh, nah that's fine. My dad doesn't even drink it and I don't like coffee that much."

Hunter didn't bother looking at me allowing me to stare at his side profile. It was weirdly actually nice, though it looked very different from the 'ideal beauty standards'. He had a big nose but it fit the rest of his face.

"Staring isn't very nice, you know?", Hunter snorted as he turned his head to me. This sudden motion made me stop walking. We were inches away from my car by the time this happened but I just couldn't get myself to walk any further.

"What?", Hunter smiled unconsciously. His face started turning red as I stared into his eyes.

"(Y/N)? D-"

What he wanted to say would always be a secret to me. I didn't mean to do it but I did. I put both on my hands on his cheeks and planted a kiss on his lips.

I pulled away saying "No no no. I am so sorry I don't know why I did that. I'm sorry, Hunter. I didn't mean to." My eyes were glued onto his shirt. I kept reading 'Iton Maiden' over and over again as he stood there in silence. What I did shocked me so much I didn't realize he was giggling.

"(Y/N), it's okay."

"What? No, it's not. I just kissed you without any consent. That is not-"

Hunter cut me off by wrapping his arms around my waist. His lips met with mine once again but this time it felt... better. It didn't feel weird this time. It wasn't perfect but perfect wasn't for us. His lips brushed against mine as I wrapped my arms around his neck causing him to hold his head down a bit to deepen the kiss.

It felt like an eternity even though it was only a few seconds before the both of us were out of breath. He pulled back with a laugh, not letting go of me yet. He stared into my (E/C) eyes before pecking me on the lips again and finally letting go. My hand brushed against his hair as I took a step back to catch my breathe but I couldn't seem to stop smiling.

"You should go. Don't want your dad to worry, do we?"

"Oh yeah, right- uh thanks for my uh AirPods", I started panicking. I didn't know what to say.

"Hm. Meet me at my car after school tomorrow", Hunter smiled lightly as I sat down in my car. I let out a hum and looked behind him, something felt weird. Hunter would usually just ignore me. He's been too nice the last few days. But the way he looked at me didn't make it any better, I couldn't stop staring at him.

"Drive safely for me, will you?", he closed the door and slowly walked back inside. With a sigh, I put on my seatbelt and started driving home. I didn't know how to feel about what just happened. It was so sudden and I don't even know if he meant for the kiss to mean so much to me.

I let out another sigh while putting on music for the ride not to feel awkward to me. My hands fidgeted with the steering wheel while I bopped my head to the beat for another few minutes before I pulled into the driveway.

Today was so weird.
