"Great", (Y/N) mumbled. Someone was sitting in her seat. Some... basic white girl, clearly interested in Hunter because she looked like she was picturing him... (Y/N) gagged and made her way to her seat before clearing her throat.
"You're in my seat."
The girl ignored her. (Y/N) could see her roots, fake blonde. She rolled her eyes and cleared her throat once again. Hunter was trying his best to not look at the girl but he looked very uncomfortable.
"What?", the girl asked annoyed and finally switched her gaze from Hunter to (Y/N).
"You're in my seat", (Y/N) answered sternly, starting to lose it more and more by the second.
"I don't see your name on this table."
"Ms. Johnson wrote down where we sat. Now get up or I'll make you get up." Hunter saw (Y/N)'s fist tensing up along with her jaw. Before walking away, the girl let out a loud 'ugh' making (Y/N) scoff annoyed.
"Finally", (Y/N) sighed as she took her seat and cracked her knuckles as their teacher, Ms. Johnson walked in.
"(Y/N), your turn is on Friday", Ms Johnson told her, opening her notebook. While (Y/N) was sick, everyone got a day they were supposed to talk about their hobby or whatever they wanted. Emily texted her what to do but she didn't get a say assigned yet.
(Y/N) hummed as she fidgeted with the chunky rings on her fingers. Her gaze fell the the skull which was on her pointer finger on her right hand. While some girl went to the front of the class to hold her 'presentation', (Y/N) suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest. Every breath started hurting more and more as she let out a quiet moan in pain.
Hunter seemed to notice and looked at (Y/N) who was resting her head on the desk.
"Are you okay?", Hunter whispered over to her quietly.
(Y/N) simply shook her head, it still being on the desk.
"Do-"
"Hunter, no talking", Ms Johnson interrupted.
He let out a sigh as he slumped back in his seat, concerned about the girl next to him. He didn't quite know why, they weren't very close but something in him felt as if he had to help her. He heard her groan and looked over to her again. This time, she was resting her head in the palms of her hands.
(Y/N) began to breathe a bit louder but covered her face with her hands so no one would hear. She closed her eyes and waited til the pain was gone. That wouldn't be very soon though, class was nearly over but the pain hasn't gone away. (Y/N) started loosing hope.
She jumped as the bell rang and packed her things before storming out to the parking lot.
"(Y/N)!", she heard from behind her faintly. She turned around and saw Emily and Kevin running to her.
"Should we bring you to the practice room?", Kevin asked. (Y/N) completely forgot. She was supposed to play for Hunter.
"Shit yeah wait. Do I need anything else?"
"No, Hunter already has everything in there."
(Y/N) hummed in relief, she forgot everything other than the actual bass. "Well, follow us", Emily grinned and turned around as she held Kevin's hand. 'So weird that they got together so quick', (Y/N) thought as she followed the couple after locking her car with her keys.
The three of them entered the practice room where Hunter was plugging everything in.
Without a word, (Y/N) grabbed the extra cable on the chair and plugged her bass in. Hunter told her where.
"Should I leave or...?", Emily asked, she knew Hunter didn't like her that much.
"You can stay", Kevin started, "right, HUNTER?"
"Yeah, whatever." Hunter sighed as Kevin sat down by his drums and cracked his knuckles.
"Did you get through Slayer?", Hunter mumbled to Kevin.
"Not yet."
"'Kay uh let's try For Whom The Bell Tolls? That should be easy."
(Y/N) nodded as Hunter turned to Kevin. She knew it quite well because she used to play it in her free time before band practice before... all the stuff happened. (Y/N)'s head started bopping unconsciously as she started playing. Her eyes were glued on her hands, watching them as she turned around and started doing a little dance to get her in the mood.
Kevin glanced at her smiling, smiling at the fact that they've probably found a bassist for... Skullfucker. Emily noticed and looked at the girl as well. She was looking straight at the floor as her head bopped to the song. Suddenly the music stopped.
"Huh?", she let out and raised her head confused.
"That was enough. You're good, welp-"
"Do I have to paint anything on my bass..."
"No, if you don't want to", Kevin answered before Hunter could say anything dumb. (Y/N) looked dumbfounded at his response but nodded.
"Are you done or can u get food now?", Emily asked from the corner of the room quietly.
"Yeah, whatever", Hunter sighed and put down his guitar while Kevin packed his things and walked out the room with Emily.
"I'm so... tired", (Y/N) yawned and sat down and threw her head back to the wall.
"You're... You're not leaving?", Hunter asked confused.
"Why should I? It's boring at home and my dad's at work anyways." (Y/N) sighed as she slid down the wall and lied down on the floor.
"Oh. Well, while you're here, about your dad-"
"Yes. He is Troy Nix. Next question." (Y/N) heard that question way too often and would mostly say no but she thought she could trust Hunter that he wouldn't only hang out with her because of that.
"Oh uhm."
"You just wanted to know that?"
Before Hunter could even answer, she plugged the cable out of her bass and walked out. Something inside her clicked and triggered that sudden anger she had the last time she was with Leyla.
(Y/N) mumbled curse words under her breath as she sped home, Mayhem blasting from the speakers in her car. She didn't know why she was mad or if she was necessarily mad at Hunter. All she knew was that something was wrong with her.
