"Kevin?", he heard making him turn towards me.

"Come on, we have to go", Kevin said hurriedly and got into his car.

Sighing in confusion, I got in as well.

"What are you doing?", I asked as I put on my seatbelt.

"We're getting Hunter, of course. We can't miss The Battle of the Bands", Kevin answered, slowly driving away from my house.

"Kevin, that's crazy. We can't sneak him out of there. How are we even gonna do that."

"I... didn't think of that... I'm sure we can think of something when we're there", Kevin said, turning right. I sighed and looked at the road.

"Where even is Hunter?"

Kevin response made me sigh. It was the one dad worked at.

Since dad used to bring me with him to work sometimes when I was younger, I knew the way there and how long it'd usually take.

The way Kevin turned would take longer but only three minutes but there was this old man that we used to pass sometimes and he'd always give us weird looks. I'm pretty sure he was a pedophile.

Hoping he wasn't there, I looked out of the window and waited till we passed the bench he'd usually sit on, looking at parents with their little kids.

"What are you looking at?", Kevin asked, glancing at me sometimes.

"Some guy. Doesn't matter", I mumbled as I turned to him.

When we were there I sighed. Kevin stood next to me and asked "What's wrong?"

Shaking my head, I took a deep breath and walked inside with him, hoping the woman at front didn't recognize me. I sighed and watched Kevin throw away all of the brochures.

"What are you doing?", I whispered to him as we both walked towards the lady.

"Let me talk, okay? Don't worry", he breathed out and turned to the lady who was doing something on the computer.

"Can I help you two?", she asked as she turned to us.

"Yeah. Yeah, I... I hope so. My best friend, he's... he's got problems. He's a uh a sniffer."

"Gasoline? Turpentine, butane, propane?"

"Yep, yep, yep, all those. He mixes them, and his parents don't know what to do, so I wanted to get them a brochure", Kevin said, looking around a little. To be honest, I was quite impressed. He was good at lying, to say the least.

"You're good friends. They're right back there", she told us and pointed to where the brochures were before Kevin threw them in the bin. We both looked at where she pointed and back at her.

"Wait right here. I'll get some more."

Just as she entered another room, Kevin and I snuck underneath some thingy that would prevent us from going through and pressed a green button, which opened the door for us. Once we heard a click, we quickly walked past the room the woman had walked into.

"Where's the remote?", a black haired guy asked due to the tv turning off while he was watching something with a few other people. Sighing, he stood up to turn on the tv again.

"We're choosing..."

And before the woman on tv could finish her sentence, Hunter turned off the tv with the remote once again, causing the others to sigh.

"Come on", another guy cried out.

Hunter looked around to see Kevin walking towards him, (Y/N) following behind, trying to keep down in case there was someone she knew.

"Kevin", Hunter said as his face lit up.

"Shh, come on", Kevin told him in a quiet voice.

"Look, man, I gotta tell you, I'm just-"

"Tell him later. Come on", (Y/N) said irritated and pulled him away as Kevin walked out quickly. And because they were so lucky, they had to bump into someone they knew.

"You know Ray, he's the drummer from Mollycoddle."

Hearing 'Ray' and 'drummer' in the same sentence caught (Y/N) off guard, due to the Ray in her old band who was also a drummer and actually the biggest asshole (Y/N) had ever met.

"Anyways, he's a good guy", Hunter looked around a bit anxious.

"Bring him."

"You do know we have to bring you back after Battle of the Bands? I don't need my dad getting mad at me", (Y/N) sighed as she look up at him, somehow he was still taller than her and Hunter.

"That's cool. Can't deal on the outside. I don't have the coping mechanisms."

"Okay, wait. So, how are we getting out?"

Hunter's question was soon answered when Kevin pressed the fire alarm which was right next to him.

The fire alarm started blaring and everyone made their way outside.

"Okay...", Hunter mumbled while Kevin was pulling him.

"Come on", (Y/N) told Ray as they both quickly followed after them.

"Move out, please", an administrator said as everyone was meeting outside.

(Y/N) lowered her head as they passed the lady up front again.

"No running", she said calmly. While Kevin passed her, her eyes were glued onto him, realizing who he was as she glanced at the brochures.

The four of them quickly walked outside, all next to each other.

"You!", the lady yelled.

"Oh shit", (Y/N) said, panicking as they all started running.

"Fuck, fuck", Hunter let out, following Kevin.

"I swear to god, if we get caught I'm gonna kill you, Kevin!", (Y/N) yelled as she ran behind Ray.

"Holy shit, oh my god, fuck fuck fuck fuck", (Y/N) muttered under her breath as she panicked. She didn't want to get into trouble again.

Bumping into Hunter, because he stopped, (Y/N) sighed as she saw her dad, waiting for them.

Kevin was panting while Troy walked towards them slowly.

"This thing", Troy started, holding a pick Hunter had given him, "it's fucking useless. You'll never get clean articulation at high speeds with a pick this thin."

(Y/N) held in a laugh as Troy flicked the pick against Kevin's forehead.

"Yeah, (Y/N) told me already", Hunter told him as he lowered his head, causing Troy to look at his daughter who looked away anxiously. Troy wasn't usually one to get mad but when he does, it's bad.

"Here. Try this one."

Troy proceeded to give Hunter a purple pick he pulled out of his wallet.

"Thank you", Hunter nodded as he took it from his hands and looked at it.

"This your car?"

"Yeah."

"It's a real piece of shit", Troy told Kevin while he walked away, causing (Y/N) to finally laugh at Kevin.

"This is unfair. He never gave me his pick", she sighed after a few seconds and got in the back seat of the car, deciding it'd be best if Hunter sat beside Kevin. Also, she wanted to know more about Ray, why he was in there and stuff.
