Chapter 32 "It's Time"

Amoret's pov

It's been fifteen minutes of me waiting for Kira to show up. I've tried calling her, but all I get is her voicemail. Kira isn't usually late, so this is strange. However, I try to give the benefit of the doubt. Suddenly, I hear my cell ring seeing Kira's name flash on the screen.

"Kira, where the heck are you?," I say.

"Amoret"

As soon as I hear this my body becomes numb. My stomach turns now feeling nauseous. My body temperature rises as my chest tightens along with my throat. The glass of water I'm holding with my hand drops down completely shattering. This causes everyone in the restaurant to look at me with worry and confusion. The waiter makes his way to attend to my mess.

"Right now it's not the time to be shy babygirl as the life of your dearest friend depends on your every action," Graudyn says.

As I hear his voice I hoped I'd never hear again. My mind flashes back to what he did to me repeatedly. The way he made me feel, the pain he inflicted on me, and the way he made sure to scar me forever. I want to scream, I want to cry, and I want to scold him. However, none of those things happen. I remain mute unable to say a single word.

Am I even breathing?

"Don't you dare act out of line or I will dismember her. You know I will within a second. Don't dare play me in any way Amoret," he sinisterly warns. I know he means every word. He's the devil himself and I know Kira's life is in full risk.

"I won't, please don't," I manage to say almost desperately knowing each second is ticking now.

"Good girl, now you will do as I say you got that?"

"Yes."

"I'm going to give you an address where Kira is at, but first I'm going to need you to get rid of those two guards you carry around before you head over to her," he instructs as I make eye contact with the guards who are looking at me.

"I got eyes on you. I'm seeing it all. I hope you enjoyed that restaurant now it's time to leave," he adds causing every hair in my body to stand up as I look around trying to search for him.

"Enough with your tactics. Give me the address and I'll head over," I say as the worry for Kira takes over.

"There she is. I'll text it to you and by the way I may have shot her, so the clock is ticking," Graudyn tells me before he hangs up. My nerves are everywhere as panic sets. My hands shake nervously thinking of how to escape underboss's men. I know I shouldn't do this. I know this is so stupid for me to do, but I know Graudyn. Kira will die if I don't play by his game.

So I make my way into the women's restroom. I spot a window above the sink which I immediately start to open the window wide enough for me to climb out. As I'm making my way out I hear my ringer inform me that I've received a message. As soon as I'm up on my feet I grab my cell seeing the address. Then another text delivers, a video of a unconscious Kira laid on the floor as I spot a dark bloody spot on her shirt near the right side of her stomach. In the video, Graudyn slaps her which causes her to groan.

She's still alive!

At this point, all fear exits my mind as I'm wanting to get to her as soon as possible. Her life is on a thread and it completely depends on me. Each minute counts actually every second. My eyes water and my breathing becomes heavy as worry and desperation consumes me entirely. I will not let Kira die because of me. I can't do that. I won't allow that to happen. With this said I find myself running as fast as I can making my way onto the road to hell.

Leo Jr's pov

"There's no sign of him anywhere," mother informs me.

"Where the fuck is he?," I say frustratedly. It's been impossible to catch any sign of this roach. My cell rings and when I see who's calling I answer almost immediately. What I hear next boils my blood and at the same time worry sets at the pit of my stomach.

"Are you fucking serious? How did she get out of your sight?," I angrily respond as I find myself pacing back and forth. My mother looks at me worriedly as she decides to go get my father.

"What the fuck is she thinking? Keep searching for her until I call you," I instruct as I hang up calling Rizo.

"Rizo, I need you to track Amoret's cell immediately. I want everything. Make calls that you need to find her whereabouts," I say as I wait for him to do his thing. At the same time my father, Rios, and Diaz are quick to enter the room.

"I have an address that was texted to her by Kira's line. Also, there's a video. I forwarded it to you," Rizo replies after a few minutes. As soon as I get the video I open it seeing a bloody Kira laid on the floor fighting for her life. In this moment, I know exactly why Amoret did what she did and where she is headed. Fears sets in me knowing who's in the other end waiting for her.

"Get everyone ready. It's time," I say to my father who instantly knew what this meant. It's all we've been waiting for.

I just hope we are able to get there before Amoret does.

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a while that I haven't updated any of my ongoing stories. A lot has happened and is still happening, so it has been pretty crazy. I may or may not use these events I've experienced/still experiencing into my story writing 😏. Also, sadly my motivation has been effected hugely by everything, so it has just been hard when it comes to making time to write. Plus them bills don't pay themselves as I'm still not recognized by Wattpad unfortunately 🙁

However, I'm going to try to get back into the rhythm of writing again. I really hope this writer's block and lack of motivation improves, so I can get back to myself.

Anywho, get ready because the next two chapters are going to be WILD.
