Today is the day, the day I truly go against my bloodline. For some reason, I'm emotionless. I've never been a part of this family. The way I grew up I would never wish upon anyone. The moment I lost my mother is the very moment I died. Since then I've been just on autopilot surviving day by day never truly living. What is it to even be truly alive? Will I be alive once I regain my freedom?

I look towards underboss admiring his existence. This man is just a masterpiece the lord himself sculpted that's for sure. He's just perfection, I feel different when I'm around him. These past months I've been living with him has made me feel something I've never felt before.

Do I?

No, I doubt it.

"If shit goes south, I'm killing him just saying," Kira utters breaking the silence in the car. We all turn to see her as she crosses her arms across her chest.

"We need him to lure the rest to our territory, so no you will not do that," Israel responds immediately disapproving of her plans. For the past few days, these two have been eyeing one another. They both think they're being slick, but little do they know they suck at it completely.

"May I remind you're still recovering from your wound Kira," I say.

"Then you should knock him out Amoret. You're very trained for that," Kira responds almost in a exposing manner. I sent a glare at her as I feel eyeballs on me especially Mr. Castillo. He already doesn't trust us because of who we are and with this remark it'll just make him more wary.

"We're here, we will need to get into our positions very quickly before the arrival," underboss informs us as we park behind the hotel Dimitry told Kira to do the meet up.

We all step outside the vehicle knowing exactly where we need to go and be for this mission. Kira immediately heads into the building since she has one of the most important roles today. I follow behind her knowing within a few minutes things will get real for all of us. However, I feel a firm grip on my arm bringing me to a halt.

"No second thoughts," underboss murmurs as his emerald green eyes pin me down.

"I already gave you my word underboss," I sarcastically respond.

"Underboss? Now that's something I'm interested to know how that name came about," he questions as we both walk into the building.

"It just means little boss as your the heir to the throne that's all," I say feeling angry at him for some reason.

"I'm definitely not little," he says.

"Cool for you underboss. Now if I can be left alone to focus on this mission I'll be delivering for you. The sooner all of this is successfully handled. The sooner I'll be free from all of this and disappear from here," I mutter.

"That's the plan," he blankly says as he excuses himself heading down the hallway. I don't know what I expected from this, but in the oddest way I feel a bit angry with his action. What the hell did I expect?

I watch as Dimitry walks towards the room then enters inside. I'm surprised he actually came alone just shows how desperate he is to climb the ranks. If only he knew that Graudyn would never allow anyone to outshine him not even his close friend.

Suddenly, I hear shuffling noises then a sudden thud. Immediately, I'm quick to the door as I was about to twist the doorknob. The door bursts open coming face to face with Dimitry. He doesn't hesitate to swing his hand that holds a small pocket knife slashing my arm I was quick to shield my face from. From the impact I jump back wincing in pain as Dimitry makes a run for it.
