"You're making a big mistake," I snap at the police officer not caring at all about his position.

My only concern at the moment is getting this mess cleaned up before my father finds out. There's no way I want to deal with his bullshit today. "Is that a threat?," officer Romero sternly glares as he crosses his arms across his chest coming into view from the back office.

Things between Romero and I hasn't been the best for quite some time now. He's always on my ass trying to take me down in any way he can just to take down the red eagles. I must admit he's smart about me being a part of the mafia without any valid proof. That's why he's desperately trying to come at me for every little thing.

"Take it how you like," I firmly respond glaring back at him. For a moment, the both of us just glare at one another noticeably showing our dislike for one another.

"She's a minor-"

"I'm well aware of that," Romero cuts off Israel now taking a glare at him then averting his focus back to me before proceeding, "that's why we've contacted Mr. Castillo."

My heart literally drops down to my stomach as I hear his response. If I could only slit his throat at this moment for practically sentencing me.

I can hear the yells as of this moment already.

"Y-you," I grit my teeth not being able to finish what I had in mind due to hearing the door of the juvenile detention center open harshly then slam followed by a very aggressive tone.

A tone I'm all too familiar with.

"Where is she?," my father bluntly says passing me by to face Romero. "She's being held until we go over her charges with you," Romero responds grabbing a file from the bottom of the front desk.

"She isn't no animal to be held. Let her out now," father sternly glares. By his entire posture of his body. I can tell he wants to burn this entire building down until he finds Aviana.

"Sir, I understand you're very uneasy about this entire situation, but we must follow our procedure," the police officer standing next to Romero calmly says trying to ease down the tension flowing in the atmosphere since my father entered the building.

"This is what the people's tax dollars are going to? You guys are here to serve us not us serve you," father scoffs.

"What are the charges?," I decide to intervene knowing if my father continues to let his temper get in the way of his thinking. The one that will be behind bars next is him. And that's something we can't be having especially in our lifestyle.

"She brutally assaulted a fellow classmate at a party."

"I'll pay whatever the fine is," father blankly says reaching for his wallet.

"Depending on the charges of the victim. We might have to hold her here until her court date," Romero responds glaring between my father and I almost as if he's waiting for something to happen.

"That isn't going to happen," my father and I say instantly at the same time. Suddenly, the office's phone starts ringing which the police officer answers. Within a few seconds, the phone is handed to Romero and what happens next is music to my ears.

"That's very odd, the victim and her parents aren't pressing any charges. They demand for Aviana's release," Romero murmurs over to the other officer as he hangs up the phone.

"A misunderstanding I suppose," father mutters as he raises a dark brow at the two officers standing before him. "Go get Aviana Castillo," Romero commands as he makes eye contact with my father once again.
