Safe

It hadnt been years for lula, years to get over tom and see all the pain he caused the destruction he did in her name. it was mere moments. She was still that girl madly in love and ready to marry tom riddle. But tom riddle was dead and gone. He died that day lula went under. Lula could see that and she needed to not be here. Not be with him. She didn't want to go down this path. All the things he did for the sake of getting her back, all the people he hurt... Lula's heart broke at the thought.

She ran outside and aparated to Hogwarts. She figured Severus would be there eventually. She sat in his room crying she couldn't fathom what had become of her Tom. Severus got back a few hours later a frown on his face until he saw lula, she stood up when he came in.

'Lula?' he questioned. 'You came here?' he questioned walking up to her reaching out to her, brushing white hair from her sad eyes.

'I didn't know where else to go.' She told him. 'I thought with you would be safest.' She told him. Safe with him. 'but maybe I was wrong she told him quickly.

'no, it is safe with me, you are safe with me.' severus told her coming to her side.

'You worked with him, you did things... I shouldn't have come here.' Lula said standing up.

'No, I only stayed for you. I stayed to be there when you woke up. I didn't approve of what he was doing. What he was having us do in your name.' severus told her. 'I just wanted to be able to wake you up, I had to follow along so I could stay, so I could keep trying to wake you.' Severus told her. 'please tell me you believe me?'

'I do.' She said after a moments hesitation. 'your heart has always been in the right place, even around us awful people.'

'you are not awful, you are wonderful.' Severus told her.

'I was so awful that apparently dumbeldor set a group of gryffindors out to kill me.' lula choked out. 'but he sent Gryffindors so obviously it failed.' Lula told him with a choked laugh.

'Lula what he saw, wasn't true. That much is clear. You have always been good.' Severus told her.

'He didn't think so.' She muttered.

'Stay here. I will keep you safe, just as you kept me safe for all those years, let me protect you now.'
