Harry had his liquid luck. He decided he wanted to go for a walk. To much complaint from Hermione and ron he left, finding professor slughorn in the greenhouse before heading to hagrids. He saw professor Malfoy standing there, next to Hagrid her face pinched with disgust. While Hagrid sobbed.

'I hate spiders.' lula said walking off, 'of all sizes.'

'He was my eldest friend.' hagrid told her. 'They are misunderstood creatures.'

'And the pinchers' harry noted, he was acting strangely lula thought walking away.

'I dont mean to be insensitive but could i extra some venom for research purposes.' Slughorn asked

'I suppose its not doing him any good now.' Lula got farther away just barely hearing the spiders eulogy she chuckled at the thought as she made it back to the castle. Then she stopped a chuckle on her lips. Harry was doing this mission for albus she realized. Albus was going to get this poor boy killed.

'I got it professor.' Harry declared albus rose from his desk. Albus hesitated the memory in hand, he needed to call lula Malfoy, if she as ontheir side or not, he wanted to see her face after she heard what tom did, what they learned. As soon as she arrived they all stuck their heads in the pensive.

'time flies when you are having fun, doesn't it?' slughorn remarked. 'off to bed.' Their friends headed off but lula stayed with tom. 'Look sharp Tom you don't wanna be caught out of bed after hours...' but tom didn't move. 'is something you mind?'

'Go on lula. Ill see you in a bit.' Tom said kissing her cheek.

'You see I didn't know who I could go to the other professors are not like you...' tom informed him sweetly. 'I didn't think they would understand.' Tom went on.

'Go on' slughorn encouraged.

'I was in the library the other night and the restricted section and I read some thing... I was hoping you could help me understand it.'

'Alright,' slughorn agreed.

'I read some thing rather odd about a bit of rare magic is called as I understand it a Horcrux.' Tom told him.

'I beg your pardon?' slughorn nearly choked out.

'Horcrux, I couldn't understand while reading I couldn't fully understand it.' Tom told him calmly.

'what you were reading Tom is very dark stuff very dark indeed.' Slughorn told him.

'Which is why I came to you.' Tom told him

'A Horcrux is an item in which you can conceal part of your soul.' Slughorn told him

'Yes but I do not understand how that works.' Tom told him getting closer.

'One splits one soul and hides it an object so that way it can be protected and stored.' Slughorn told him cautiously.

'Protected?'

'Part of your soul is hidden in the charm. Other words you cannot die.' Slughorn told him, as Tom turned to the fire.

'And how does one split his soul?' tom pondered.

'I think you already know the answer to that' slughorn reminded him.

'Murder.' His voice crisp and clear.

'Yes killing rips the soul of the a apart.' Slughorn confirmed.

'Can you only split the soul once? Could you do it seven times?' tom questioned.

'Seven times! isn't bad enough to consider murdering one person but to rip the soul into seven pieces?' slughorn said baffled. 'This is all hypothetical right Tom? purely academic?' slughorn said nervously.

'Of course sir it will be our little secret.' Tom assured.

'oh God,' lula felt sick. She ran to the garbage can, spewing her dinner into the can. Severus had told her about the horcruxes before but she didtn know he had been thinking about it since they were children. That he was on this path since before she felt under that curse. She thought she was the one that caused all this. She thought that she was the one that sent him on this path of darkness but he was already on it. Long before he ever met lula. It wasn't her fault or Albus' this was Tom. All Tom. He had been trying to do this for years and she didn't see it. She didn't see it because she loved him. She saw the good... he kept her from the darkness. But not he was the darkness.
