Maddie secrets

Riley's POV
"Wow you guys got settled in quite fast," I said as we walked into Maddie's house.
"Well actually we have been here for 9 months," Maddie said as we followed her up to her room.
"Nice room who are the little girls in the picture?" Maya asked.
"Those are my sisters Faith and Hope," Maddie said as she sat on her bed.
"How about this boy?" I asked pointing at the photo by her bed.
"That's Matthew my twin brother," Maddie said looking down at the floor.
"Where is he?" I asked as I sat on the floor next to Maya.
"In California with my dad. When my parents divorced Matt went with my dad and my sisters and I stayed with my mom.
"That must be hard," Maya said slowly.
"Yeah it was at first and we all acted out and what I did... I'm not proud of but the out come was something magical," Maddie said with a slight smile.
"Maddie! Maddie! Noah is crying!" Maddie sister yelled.
Maddie looked at us shyly.
"Go ahead and take care of your baby brother, we will be right here," I said as Maddie slowly got up.
"Noah isn't our.." the little girl started.
"Of course he is!" Maddie yelled pushing the small child out of the room.
"She is hiding something Maya," I said.
"Riley stay out of it. It's not our business," Maya said.
"Hey guys sorry it's just Noah he is 5 months old and he needs his mom sometimes but she's not always here," Maddie said as she shut the door.
"Great we can get started on the project except..." Maya said.
"Maddie was going on? Why do you have crib in your room?" I asked.
I watched Maddie think for a moment and Maya face plum herself.
"Riley your right I'm lying. Noah isn't my brother he is my son," she said with a frown.
"That's the thing you did when your parents divorced," Maya said.
"Yeah and it's also the reason why my brother left. After I found out I was pregnant with my ex boyfriends baby I told my brother and he told my mom. she moved us right away and ever since then we have been here," Maddie said with a frown.
"Where is Matt now?" I asked.
"With my dad. My mom wanted me to start over at a new school and didn't want anyone to know about Noah," Maddie said.
"Maddie why did you tell us?" Maya asked.
"Because you guys are my only friends and you have to promise not to tell anyone!" Maddie cried.
"Absolutely nobody Riley," Maya said turning to me.
"I promise nobody not mom, not dad, not Auggie, and not Elliot," I said as I hugged Maddie.
"Especially not Elliot," Maddie said slowly.
"Okay we won't we promise," I said.
"Thank you guys," Maddie said with a smile.
*on the subway*
Maya's POV
"I can't believe someone our age has a baby," Riley said.
"Riley you promised not to tell you can't tell!" I yelled.
"I know and I won't tell," Riley said as we arrived at her stop.
"See you at 7:00," I said.
"Yup," Riley said as she got off.
I got on my phone and scrolled through my Instagram and seen my mom and her boyfriend and frowned. My parents divorced when I was 7 and I'm 14 now. My mom started dating a guy named Joe 3 years ago and she is pregnant with his kid. I want my dad and mom back together but I know deep down it will never happen mostly because my dad is stubborn but that's why I love him.
*at home*
"Dad I'm home!" I yelled as I hung my bag up.
"Hey sweet heart how was school?" My dad asked.
"Same thing as yesterday and the day before," I said as I hugged him.
"Maya something must have happened," My dad said.
"Hum well we got a new girl today," I said as I opened up the refrigerator.
"What's her name?" My dad asked as he sat at the kitchen table.
"Maddie Johnson," I said as I started making us grilled cheese.
"That's cool," my dad said as he sipped some coffee.
"Sure," I said as I put our plates in front of us.
"Thank you Maya," he said as he took a bit of his sandwich.
"I seen a new picture on Instagram of mom and Joe," I said looking at him.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Yeah," I said as I cleaned up the mess in the kitchen.
"That's um real nice Maya I'm going to go to I'm bed now so don't stay up to late," he said as he hurried to his room.
Every time I talk about my mom he does that. you can tell he is still in love with her I feel bad for him.
I walked out to the living room and looked around as I locked the door. On the walls were pictures of me ever since I was born on my birthday they took a picture of me and then when I was 7 it stopped being me and my parents and it changed to just me and my dad. You might think I mind but I don't I had a chance to live with my mom but I choose to stay with my dad. I flipped off the light and headed down the hall to my room. I looked on the wall and seen may favorite picture of all it was of me when I was younger it was my first concert. I walked into my room and shit the door. I got ready for bed and then went to bed.
Maddie's POV
"Mom I told my new friends," I said as I sat down next to her.
"Why would you do that Maddie?" My mom asked.
"Because I trust them," I said with a smile.
"Good then you will be proud to know that Matt is moving in," My mom said as she flipped off the TV.
"Are you crazy? Mom I can't trust him I want to impress someone!" I yelled as I followed her up stairs.
"You can impress someone. Maddie he is your twin brother treat him like one give him another chance," My mom said as she disappeared into her room.
I slipped into my room quietly so I didn't wake up Noah.
I laid down in my bed and check my messages.
iMessages between Maddie and Noah's dad.
Maddie: hi
Cam: hi
Maddie: I'm sorry about not telling you about Noah.
Cam: Maddie I don't care about Noah I don't want him. If you find someone who can love you and Noah I will give my rights to that guy. just remember tell them up front about Noah or they won't stay. Now I have to go. good bye Maddie.
"Ugh!" I yelled as I layed back on my bed.
