Chapter 19

Maya's POV
As much fun as it sounds it wasn't and by it I mean 8th grade graduation. There were so many tears and it was like I was graduating high school or something..
"Hey Maya," Josh said as he walked up to me.
"Hi," I said.
"You look nice," he said.
"Thank you," I said with a smile.
"Congrats by the way," he said.
"Yea worked hard," I said.
"I know I'm aware of what happened," he said.
"What part?" I asked.
"All of it," he said.
"Oh," I said as I looked down.
"I want to take you to dinner not a date unless you want it to be," he said as he walked closer to me.
"I'd like that," I said slowly.
Soul mates that's me and Josh. Much like Cory and Topanga, my mom and dad, Riley and Lucas, maddie and Elliot.
"Awesome I'll pick you up at 5," he said as he hugged me.
I hugged back but I didn't want to let go it was the hug I longed for the warmth I missed.
"See ya," I said as he let go and ran off.
I walked back to the gym were my parents and Riley's parents were.
"My!" My baby brother called.
He's about 6 months old maybe he's 8.
"Hi bun!" I said taking him from my mother.
He has a rather odd obsession with my hair I guess that's a baby thing because when we first met Maddie her son was the same way. Her son now walks and will carry on a small conversation with you right up until he walks away which is often. Noah is his name, Maddies son I mean.
"Daddy," Noah calls to Elliot.
Mr. Matthews wasn't extremely happy about the first time Noah did that but to Noah Elliot is his dad and probably always will be.
"I'm hungry daddy," Noah said pulling on Elliot's hand.
"Elliot takes the dad thing lightly just ignores him mostly because he is a kid him self. Maddie had to do a lot of growing up but even with that she is a fun person to hang around.
"Well buddy this isn't going to be the last time you come to one of these so how about you have Auggie take you to the vending machines," Elliot said handing Auggie a $5 bill.
Auggie happily took Noah's hand and went and got him some food.
I looked over to the child I had in my hands my little brother. He is a nightmare dressed as a day dream.
"Josh talk to you?" Riley said as she walked over to me.
"Yea we have a date tonight," I said with a smile.
"Good!" She said with a smile.
"What about you and Lucas?" I asked.
"This summer he his visiting Texas. And Maddie and Noah are going to California and my family is going to Florida," Riley said as she listed the summer plans.
"My dad and I are going to Hawaii," I said with a smile.
"We are all going somewhere," Riley said with a smile.
"Pictures?" I asked
"Lots!" Riley said as we hugged.
Put it this way we are all growing up and but that's okay because it's the end of middle school we still have high school and college.
"Maya," my dad called.
Riley and I smiled as we headed out with our families.
