Chapter 15

Maya's pov
"Katy were back!" My dad yelled as he pointed at the couch, he didn't even make eye contact with me.
"Did you get her?" My mom asked rushing into the living room.
"Would I have said were back if I didn't!" My dad snapped.
"Your right I'm sorry Shawn," my mom said.
"Whatever Katy. Now Maya tell your mother what the cops found in your system," my dad said now standing directly in front of me.
"I talked to Papa Chet," I smiled trying to change the subject.
"Yeah and I had a conversation with Michael Jackson," my dad said as he slammed himself into the recliner.
"What was found Maya?" My mom asked.
"Alcohol," I mumbled.
"Maya you know your mother and I don't understand stand mumbling so how about you speak up," my dad said sounding some what claim.
"ALCOHOL!" I yelled.
"Maya Penelope Hunter! Where on earth did you get that?" She asked.
"Your closet," I said slowly.
"Your 14 years old you can't be drinking!" My mom yelled.
"And no Hunter can ever drink!" My dad said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because we turn into nasty drunks that's why. I learned that the hard way," my dad said as he stood up.
"What's my punishment?" I asked.
"Your grounded from your Phone, Tablet, Laptop, and friends. You are to only allowed to go to school and come home and study. You will apologize to Cory tomorrow at school." My dad said.
"Yes sir," I said as I walked to my bedroom.
*next day*
"Let's go Maya!" My dad yelled from down stairs.
I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs.
"Remind me why you have to take me to school again," I asked as I grabbed pop tarts.
"Part of your punishment," my dad said as he put his lap top into his bag.
"No trust?" I asked.
"What did you do yesterday," he asked.
"Drank, broke Cory's phone, and ran away," I said as I took a bit of my food.
"Yeah that's right," he said now let's get going.
"Okay," I said as I grabbed my stuff and followed my dad out the door.
*at school*
"Hey guys," I said.
"Hi Maya," Riley said coldly.
"What's wrong," I asked pulling her aside.
"My dad told me what happened Maya and I'm not happy," she said.
"Look I'm sorry about the phone I was angry," I said.
"No Maya not that! You drank! Why would you do that! Your not even 21 ur lucky if your even out of middle school by the time your 21!" She yelled.
I looked around and everyone was staring at me now.
"I was depressed and upset Riles," I said.
"Yeah and you choose to be illegal than come to me," she said as she walked away.
Ouch that hurt.
Riley's POV
"Yeah and you choose to be illegal than come to me," I yelled as I walked away.
Am I being dramatic? Should I actually be there for her after what she did?
"Riley what was that about?" Elliot asked chasing after me.
Of course my older brother follows me.
"She drank El. Under age." I said looking at my shoes.
"Riles I don't think i should be telling you this but dad did something like this his senior year of high school because mom dumped him," Elliot said holding my chin up.
Elliot's grown up a lot this year I'm thinking its because he is helping Maddie with her baby. The baby will grow up thinking Elliot's his daddy.
"How do you know Elliot? How do you know that happened?" I asked.
"Last night I was sitting with Noah and finishing up my homework. Dad was in the phone with Shawn talking about Maya and how she snuck alcohol and had been drinking. I guess Shawn didn't know how to punish her wanted to know if he was being to hard on her and dad said Shawn remember when we were Seniors in high school and I took alcohol from my dads stash and convicted you to drink and we were drunk? I guess Shawn answered because dad said you made a mistake like hers but your not being to hard just reassure her that her family and friends love her even if Josh doesn't because there are others maybe Josh isn't for her or maybe he is and they have to find out. I have to go but I'll probably tell Riley about this. Then they hung up," Elliot said slowly.
"I guess I should be there for her huh?" I asked.
"Yeah Riles you should," he said as he grabbed my arm leading me to my friends.
"Maya?" I said.
"What you come back to rub my mistakes in more?" She asked with a sad look.
"No I came to apologize Maya I shouldn't have done that," I said.
"No you shouldn't have!" She yelled.
"Ring power?" I asked with a hopeful smile.
"No Riley not Ring power. What you said really hurt me you need to think before you speak," she said as she walked into my dads class room.
I looked at Elliot and he just nodded I figured that meant give it time. I then followed Lucas and Farkle into the class room.

Guys please pray for my friend he was involved in an accident this evening and he is about 2 states away and I don't know how he is at this point I only know what his mom told me.
