Chapter 4

Maya's POV
"Maya!" I heard my dad yell.
I rolled over and looked at my alarm clock. It read 5:30.
"Ugh!" I yelled.
"Now Maya Ann!" He yelled.
I got up and got dressed and walked out into the kitchen.
"Where is ur bag?" He asked.
"By the door where it always is," I said as I poured my self coffee. Yes I'm 14 and I drank coffee.
"Maya. I mean the bag with your clothes in it. you do know your staying the weekend at Riley's right," he said.
"What?" I yelled.
"Maya. I told you to tell Cory and Topanga they you were staying with them this weekend," I said as he sat down at the kitchen table with me.
"Dad. I have a date this weekend with Josh," I whined.
"Maya I have an important project in California this weekend," He said.
"Ugh fine I'll cancel my date with Josh," I said as I walked tied my room.
"Maya you can still go on your date with Josh. Josh is Cory's brother," he said.
"Yes but Cory won't let me stay out past 12:00," I said.
"I don't even let you stay out past 12:00!" He yelled.
I turned around and faced my now very angry dad.
"Oops, hehe," I said with a fake smile.
"Never mind your grounded and your going to California with me," he yelled.
"No dad that's unfair!" I yelled.
"Should have thought of that when u were sneaking out!" He yelled.
"Ugh I hate you!" I yelled as I slammed my bedroom door shut.
"I'll pick you up at the school at 3:05," he yelled as I heard him go out the front door.
*6:30*
I stepped onto the subway and sat down in the last set. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram.
"Another picture of mom and her boyfriend," I whispered to my self.
I decided to text my mom.

Maya: hey mom
Katy: Maya
Maya: hi mom!
Katy: what do u want?
Maya: I was saying hi I wanted to know how u and the baby were.
Katy: sorry sweetie. If I upset u I'm just in a lot of pain forget me?
Maya: is everything okay?
Katy: no the baby is coming two months early 😔😔
Maya: mom have faith in sure the baby will be fine I promise 😘
Katy: I hope so! Well I have to got bye

I love my mom I do but last year when I finally got to pick were I wanted to stay I choose my dad. I never told them why but it because I feel closer to my dad and yes my dad and I disagree on things but that's normal right?
"Maya!" I yelled as I opened up the Matthews door.
"Hey," Riley said with a smile.
"Hey you ready?" I asked.
"Maya breakfast," Topanga demand.
"Ouch," I said as I sat down.
"Bye mom. Bye dad. Bye Aug and Riles and Maya," Elliot said as he left.
Elliot always leaves before us we think it's because he doesn't want to be seen with us but what sibling wants to be seen with the sibling.
"Can we leave now?" I asked as I finish my breakfast.
"Yes you may," Cory said with a smile.
"Yeah thanks," I said with a cheesy smile.
*school*
Maddie's POV
"Hi Elliot," I said as I walked up to Elliot in the hall.
"Hi Maddie. It's Maddie right?" He asked.
"It's what ever you want to call me. I mean umm yeah it's Maddie," I said as I felt my face get hot.
"Let me walk you to homeroom," he said with a smile.
"Okay," I said.
"So I was wondering do you maybe want to grab a bit to eat after school? Get to know each other?" Elliot asked as he scratched the back of his neck.
"Sure," I said with a smile as I sat in my seat.
"Hi Maddie," Riley said as she walked in.
"Hi Riley," I said.
"Hello class," Mr.Matthews said with a smile.
"hi," we all said back.
"Hi, sorry I'm late! I'm Matthew Johnson," the black haired guy said.
I turned around and blinked a couple times to make sure I was seeing this right.
"Welcome Mr. Johnson," Mr. Matthews said.
"Ah Maddie long time know see!" Matt said.
"Get lost loser!" I yelled as the bell rang.
"Maddie wait I want to patch things up with us we are twins we need each other please," Matt said grabbing my arm.
"No," I said slapping his hand away.
"Please Maddie," he begged.
"No! Figure thinks out your self," I said walking away.
*after school at the cafe*
"So Maddie tell me about yourself," Elliot said with a smile.
"Okay so I'm 15 I'm in 8th grade I'm supposed to be in 9th but I got held back.
I have three siblings Faith and Hope are 8 and my twin Matt," I said with a smile.
"Cool. So I guess it's my turn. I'm 15 I'm in 9th grade. I'm the quarterback for the football team. I have two siblings Riley who you know and Auggie who is 6. My mom is a lawyer and my dad is a teacher," he said obviously proud of his family.
"My parents are divorced my dad lives in California and and my lives here in New York," I said with a frown.
"That's okay," he said as he reached for my hand.
We talked for a couple more hours and then he asked me to be his girlfriend.
"Maddie will you be my girlfriend?" Elliot asked.
"Yes!" I said as a big smile formed on my face.
"Great!" He said as me got on a subway.
We walked up to the door.
"I want you to meet someone," I slowly said as we walked into my house.
We walked up stairs into my room and I walked to the crib and picked up Noah.
"Elliot... I...I want you to meet Noah. My...My son," I said with a frown.
"Your what?" He asked.
"My son," I said slowly.
"Woah didn't see that coming," he said with a nervous laugh.
He looked down at his wrist.
"Will you look at that it's almost my crew few!" He yelled as he ran out of my room.
"Take advice feed it to the dog," I said as I put Noah back in his bed.
Messages between Riley and Maddie and Maya
Maddie: hey 😔
Riley: what's wrong?
Maddie: Elliot asked me out
Riley: from what I gathered yesterday you liked him.
Maddie: I do I just don't think he likes me anymore.
Riley: why?
Maddie: I told him about Noah 😁😔
Riley: oh well if I know my brother he will come around.
Maddie: he ran out really fast 😰
Riley: chin up honey everything will work out I promise.
Maya: hey Maddie you have to understand Elliot is Elliot and I have known him my hole life along with Riley and he is just going to go home think about it probably with his parents and then he will talk to u I might take a couple days but he will come around.
Maddie: thank u guys for helping I hope he comes around well I'm going to bed good night! Have fun in California Maya!
Riley: no problem Maddie! Night.
Maya: yeah sure 😒 night guys
Elliot's POV
"Mom?" I said as I walked into her room.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"What is I like a girl a lot but she has a kid," I said.
"Elliot if you like someone you shouldn't pretend you don't just because they have a kid. Look this girl is a teen and she has a baby so she might need help as well." My mom said.
"Well I really like her so I could give this father thing a try right?" I asked.
"No!" My dad yelled.
"Cory!" My mom yelled.
I looked at them and smiled and left.
Messages between Elliot and Maddie.
Elliot: hey Maddie can we talk?
Elliot: Maddie? U there?
Maddie: Elliot?
Elliot: hi! I just want to apologize I flipped out but I want to be ur boyfriend 😊
Maddie: really? U still want to be with me?
Elliot: yes! I really like u!
Maddie: I really like u too! 😊
Elliot: well I gtg I'll talk to u in the morning
Maddie: night!
Maya's POV
"Okay we are stopping here," my dad said.
"Dad this place looks like its infested with rats!" I said.
"Maya," he said as he shot me a look.
"On the other hand it's mighty fine to sleep at for the night," I said with a fake smile.
We got our room and he went to get some ice. I picked up his phone and looked at the locked screen.
"You like that picture don't you?" My dad asked with a smile.
"Yea it's already," I said with a small smile.
I unlocked his phone and his background was of me when I was a baby.
"Nothing else to put on your phone?" I said.
"Yes there is. I just love my princess and when all the ladies at the office say Shawn can we see your daughter?" My dad said.
"What ever," I said as I crawled under my blankets.
"It's true," he laughed as he turned off the lights.
"They should just follow me on Instagram then I have 1.K follows," I said as I shut my eyes.
"I'll remember that," he laughed.
"Shh! I'm sleeping!" I said trying not to laugh.
"Go to sleep Maya we have a long day tomorrow," my dad said.
"Night daddy love u," I said as I drifted off to sleep.
"Night Maya," I herd him say.
