Throughout the next couple of days, all the other boys who weren't on stage performing were running around trying their best to take care of us. I found it absolutely adorable whenever one of them came in and handed me a coffee during practice. Between their break times, Jungwon would come into Geonu and I's practice room to keep us company and give feedback.

"AH! NOT AGAIN!" I shouted when my voice cracked for the second time. Lately, my vocals have been shaky. Everyone says they sound just as good as they usually do, but I could tell. I could tell there was something wrong.

Jungwon laughed as I hopelessly fell onto the floor while Geonu continued his part completely unbothered. "Chae~ You sound fine, come on," He patted the spot next to him and I moved over out of the way of the mirror for Geonu. "Is it the nerves maybe?" He suggested, patting my head.

"No, maybe I just haven't drank enough water today," I muttered, leaning my head on his shoulder.

Geonu stopped at the end of his verse, hitting pause on the music. "How would that be possible? Heeseung just came in and gave you tea," He said pointing to the empty bottle of corn silk tea that I downed almost immediately.

"I'm not even... nervous?" I said hesitantly. "Like I'm definitely pressured obviously, but I know I can sing this song well, I just don't know why I can't sing this song well," I rambled, burying my face in my hands.

"You are singing this song well though, Chae. I've made just as many mistakes as you," Geonu pointed out.

"Okay yeah, but that's different."

"How?" Jungwon asked raising an eyebrow.

I groaned, "I don't know! It just is. Maybe I'm catching a cold or something," I guessed.

"If you catch a cold just days before our test I will jump off the balcony, Chaeri, seriously," Geonu said, scrolling through the tablet.

My eyes widened, "Okay! I won't get sick," I said quickly, holding my hands up in surrender.

Jungwon laughed and patted my leg, "Just get good rest, Chae. That's always a solution," He said making me pout. "You shouldn't push yourself, Chae. It's not good for you."

Just at that moment, saving me from Jungwon's health lecture, Jay had opened the door, "Jungwon-ah, come on, K hyung wants to practice again," He said, nodding outside.

"Ah alright," Jungwon got up and said his goodbyes before following Jay to their practice room.

"Second chorus?" I asked looking at Geonu after Jungwon left.

"Second chorus," Geonu agreed before we started practicing again.

"Are you guys practicing hard for the test?" Rain asked. It was the end of the fourth day, meaning it was time for the midpoint evaluation. Today it was Director Son Sung Deuk and Rain evaluating us. To be honest I was excited. A lot of people didn't know that Director Song was my performance coach for the majority of my trainee time.

"Yes, we're practicing hard," Jay answered.

Rain focused on Jay, "Jay!"

"Yes!"

"You've gotten better after I scolded you right?"

"I've been trying really hard since then." Jay wasn't lying. Ever since Rain called him out on his behavior during the teamwork test, he's been working harder to improve.

"Well, you showed it." Rain said referring to the last performance, "As you all know there's a battle between vocal and dance representatives. Did you guys choose your vocal representatives?"
