Chaeri's Vlog Diary Entry #10

a/n— This is a vlog style chapter, so it's gonna be a lot of yapping 😭 this is because I saw a cutesy tiktok and I got inspired!

I sighed as I woke up, turning off the alarm I had set. I checked my phone and really contemplated sleeping another half hour, but I really did have to get ready.

Silently, I gently removed Jungwon's arm that was lying over me so I could slip out of bed.

"Chae?"

I looked at Jungwon who was squinting up at me. "Where are you going?" He mumbled, rolling over. I smiled in amusement watching him put his arm back over me.

"Just to the bathroom," I excused. I needed to actually get ready to meet up with Wonyoung and Minji, but Jungwon would be ten times clingier if I told him the truth.

Jungwon hummed and pulled his arm back, "Okay..." He said tiredly before falling back asleep.

I shook my head, "What am I going to do with you?" I mumbled before getting out of Jungwon's bed.

I went to the bathroom and smoothed down my hair, trying to look as presentable as I could before I turned on the vlog camera. "Ah, why am I so puffy?" I muttered to myself, splashing cold water on my face.

After washing my face and waking up, I pulled the phone out of my pocket and started recording, "Hi engenes~" I cooed, setting the phone on the counter. "Welcome to Chaeri's vlog diary entry number 10! Today..." I hummed as I pulled out my iron to curl my hair. "Today, I will be vlogging while going out with my friends! So no Enhypen boys today," I explained, holding up a small X. "It's two in the afternoon and I just woke up from a nap, so if I look a bit..." I laughed nervously, gesturing to my face, "You know, that's why."

Once my iron was hot enough, I started clipping and sectioning my hair, "The people I'm meeting, I think Engenes know already~ so I'll make it a surprise! But I do have to hurry a little bit because I have to leave in like an hour. We're going to a flower garden today!"

"This vlog should come out after our XO promotions. Romance Untold!" I said excitedly as I started curling my hair. "Engenes, as many of you know, all the members actually participated in helping produce this album, quite a bit compared to our other albums. Of course, we have Highway 1009! Heeseung produced it and we all helped with the lyrics!" I paused, reaching out to adjust my phone as it started slipping on the counter. "Uh... Jungwon helped write Hundred Broken Hearts. Which I think is a really good song!" I laughed, pushing back a section of curled hair, "not that I'm biased... or anything of course! Then, I don't think the track list is out yet, as of right now. But, I produced and wrote lyrics for Moonstruck! It's the first song on the album, meaning it's kind of like the intro, so hopefully engenes will like it!"

When I was done curling my hair and talking with the camera, I had about half an hour left, so perfect amount of time to do my makeup and change. "Engenes, I'm going to go change then we'll go to my room to do my makeup," I explained, picking up my phone. "I'll see you in a bit!"

"Tada!" I took my hand off my phone camera and showed my outfit. Not that it was anything fancy. I was wearing a pair of jeans and one of Jungwon's old shirts that I altered. "Doing my makeup shouldn't take long. But knowing me I'm going to take double that time," I explained, putting the phone on my vanity.

"I think also our feature on MBC will be coming out around the time our album comes out," I said, remembering when we filmed it two days ago. I leaned back to show my full room. "Uh, I'm packed up already because we're leaving for Japan in two days?" I guessed, pulling open my drawers of makeup.
