"Taki's having a hard time," I said to Jungwon quietly. We were all still in the lobby, recovering from the elimination. Geonu had just left and we were all still upset. Taki had wandered off from our group, turning away to cry. I couldn't imagine what he was feeling right now.
Jungwon nodded, squeezing my hand. "That's how I felt after the Fire performance," He explained. I hummed sadly, remembering how upset Jungwon was afterward. And I wasn't even there to witness the full thing.
"Let's do well on the next test for Geonu," K suggested. We all nodded, gathering closer in a group hug.
"To the twelve I-Landers who made it this far, congratulations," I turned my head watching our new flags fall down. But there was an obvious space on either side, narrowing it in since there were only twelve flags. I grimaced seeing how low I was. I had fallen five ranks. Nine if we were going off the last producer-evaluated test. "These are the twelve rankings, decided by the producer after the first test."
Jungwon pouted and came over to me, "You'll do better on the next test," He assured me quietly, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Twelve participants, please put up your name tags on your ranking chairs. I-Landers with ranks one through eight, please put on the badges that indicate the debut team," We followed the instructions, I grabbed my nameplate and placed it on the corresponding chair. Ironically, I was pretty much directly across from Jungwon who was sitting in second place.
"The second test of I-Land Part Two will be revealed in twelve hours," I let out a small sigh. We weren't going to get a break any time soon.
After that announcement, we all quickly grabbed our stuff to go upstairs and get dinner. Due to curiosity, we actually followed Sunghoon to the purple room, wondering if they left any new surprises. "You guys probably got another benefit or new gaming console," I said jokingly earning a laugh from Sunoo.
It wasn't that different. It was just cleaner. I followed Jungwon in, checking out the room. I turned around and gasped when I saw the screen, "Guys! Look!" Jungwon quickly turned around, letting out a gasp as well, catching everyone's attention. "The top three I-Landers get a day of freedom," I read out loud. This was probably the most envious I have been of the top three.
"But what can we do?" Sunghoon questioned.
"Maybe you get to watch a movie?" Sunoo guessed, still looking amazed. I don't think it honestly mattered to the three of them. I think they'd even be okay with taking a walk in the city.
"Noona, let's go to our room," Daniel suggested, pulling on my sleeve.
I smiled softly, "Yeah let's go," I called over Taki. The three of us went down the hallway away from the chaos and went into the Green room. "I've never been to the Green room," I said to the boys, trying to distract them from the fact it was the bottom-rank room.
All of us set our stuff down and started pulling our things out. Now that it was only three people staying in the room rather than four, there was actually extra space for us to put our stuff. "Noona, you have so much skincare," Taki laughed as I took out my personal makeup bag.
I chuckled, "You think I just naturally have this good of skin?" I asked, pointing to my face.
"Sunoo hyung does," Daniel said.
"I know, and I'm quite jealous of it. Why is it always the boys who have nicer skin?" I muttered jokingly earning laughs. "Don't even get me started on the eyelashes!" I said over my shoulder as I went to put my stuff away in the bathroom.
After settling in, some of us went back over to the purple room to hang out. I sat on the second-place bed next to Jungwon as they discussed what the top three ranks were going to do with their day out.
