Chapter 10

You didn't know what to feel at that moment, it was a mixture of emotions running through your body that you had never felt before in your life.

Could it be that you were still asleep in Clara's house and dreaming everything that happened from the near kidnapping onwards, or was it just a hallucination of your mind scrambled by the great impact of your loss?

You had no idea, you just wanted to hold him in your arms again, after believing that you would never be able to do that again.

"K-Kenny!" You screamed at the top of your lungs, wrapping him in a tight hug. You felt like you never wanted to let him go.

He remained stunned, unable to believe the fact that there was someone who had remembered his death the day before and was grieving over it.  Naturally, he was already get used to everyone not remembering all of his deaths, not even caring about it.

Whatever the reason you acted differently from the others, it made him immensely happy, but sad at the same time, because that curse still would cause you a lot of pain.

"It's okay, my love, I'm here with you." He muttered as he hugged you back.

"B-but what happened?" you asked, still not letting go of him. "I thought I lost you forever yesterday."

"Do you... Remember what happened to me yesterday?" He asked, still a little in disbelief.

That question was a little weird, why wouldn't you remember?

"How could I not remember?" You replied, caressing his cheeks as you looked at him tenderly. "You're my love, Kenny."

The enigmatic expression on her boyfriend's face slowly turned into a loving one at her sweet words. He still had so much to tell you and he had no idea how you were going to react to them, but he was sure you would never leave him.

His gloved hands went to your cheeks and gently wiped away your tears.

Wordlessly, you leaned over and kissed him on the lips, as if the world was going to end the next day. He briefly kissed you back, before reluctantly pulling away, but you wasn't done showering him with love.

"I love you, I love you, I love you so much." You said, while covering his beautiful face with kisses.

"I'm loving this, but I'm on duty now." He said, returning to speak in that husky superhero voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry." You said between nervous laughs.

"It's okay, I understand. Can I see you later?" He asked, taking your hands in his.

"Of course." You said, smiling as you watched him put the mask and hood back on. "Oh and you forgot this with me yesterday." 

You put one of your hands in your pocket and took off the smartphone you gave him. He smiled at you and took it.

"Thanks."

You both smiled at each other. You were so glad he was okay, but still had a lot of questions. 

"Sooooo can I have one last kiss before you go?" You asked, feeling your cheeks reddened with your embarrassment.

However, before he could answer, someone interrupted him.

"Excuse me miss, were these the thugs who wanted to kidnap you?"

You turned your head to the side and were relieved when a police car had arrived.

"Yes, these two were..." You looked back to the bandits and was surprised to see that your boyfriend suddenly disappeared. 

"Are you okay?" Her voice asked from behind you as she placed a hand on your shoulder.
