upon reaching dustin's house the three of them got out of the car, steve took his bat and they ventured inside. nearing the cellar doors the two teenagers stood listening for any signs but heard nothing. "i don't hear shit." steve said "it's in there." dustin confirmed.
"alright listen kid if this is some sort of Halloween prank you're dead you understand?" steve said as he pointed the flashlight at dustin's face. "It's not a prank. get that out of my face."
"you got a key for this thing?" steve then asked "yeah it in the shed. i'll go-" dustin stopped mid sentence when the lock on the door broke on its own and fell to the ground. him and steve looked towards victoria who wiped a drop of blood from her nose. "what?" she asked innocently as she moved to open the door.
"how about i go in first?" steve suggested as he moved forward "why?" victoria asked, she had been growing annoyed of steve treating like something fragile. "look i know you're pissed at me right now, i get it but after what just happened in the car i am sure as hell not letting you near something that is potentially related to the thing that is controlling you."
victoria hated how steve made sense, so as she let steve go downstairs she waited anxiously as she heard nothing "steve?" both her and dustin asked, growing more nervous as they didn't hear anything. until the light of the flashlight shot from below them, steve appearing as he asked them to come downstairs as well.
victoria saw the shedded skin of the creature dustin had named dart. steve led them forward and victoria sighed in frustration to see a hole in the wall which had probably been made by dart. the group later came up with the plan to set up traps for dart and capture him.
