Hi! If you read the bio thing, you are one step ahead of the game. I don't want to repeat myself so go read it. I take requests and stuff.

DISCLAIMER- I do not own the boys in blue besides characters I made up which I will point out. These men are actual people. Ok? Ok

Logan's Point of View:

"I lost both of my legs to bone cancer." I tell Hoppo the head lifeguard. I was trying out to be one of the new trainees for the lifeguard service. Only two can make the tryouts but only one will be picked in the end. I hoped they wouldn't pick me just because of my legs.

"Okay. Good luck." Hoppo replies. I mentally cheered. It seemed as if he wasn't surprised about it. I mean I had prosthetics. They were waterproof and I could run with them. They have never slowed me down before.

He turned towards the crowd of tryouts, me included. "Thank you all for coming here. Unfortunately only two of you will be picked to be a trainee. For the first part you have to swim 800m in 13:30 minutes. If you don't make it in that time your out." Hoppo paused to catch his breath.

"Next we will head down to bondi. You will swim, run and paddle. You have to do this under 20 minutes." Hoppo eyes scanned us. Trying to see who looked confident and who didn't.

"The best two will be the trainees." Hoppo finished his speech with the nod of his head and left to talk to the lifeguards. Each lifeguard was given a person they had to time. The lifeguard I got was Ryan 'Whippet' Clark. Whippet for short.

"Alright... Logan. Just take position in lane 3." He looked up from his clipboard, only to pause. He was looking at my legs.

"Can you swim with those?" He asked gently, trying to not sound rude.

"Yeah. I can swim, run, walk, do anything with these bad boys." I say smirking. My prothetic's were costume made. All black with blue highlights. The way I liked them.

"Ok. I hope you'll do well." Whippet says, concern in his voice. Probably thinking I'll not be able to stay afloat. It is harder, but after years of doing it it gets easier. You see I lost my legs when I was what 8? But since I no longer have cancer, I felt the need to gain my body back. I started training when I was 13 and now look at me. 19 and going strong.

My thoughts put aside I walked over to lane 3. Right next to the trainee Dustin. He was 19 also, 6'2, and blonde. Very similar to myself. I'm 6,3 and have dirty blonde hair. Anyway we bent down to the starting position.

"Go!" Hoppo shouted, and whippet started his timer.

13 laps I thought. That's how much laps I have to do in under thirteen minutes. No pressure.

I dove into the water. It was warm compared to the 5degree weather outside. (Celsius) My mind went into autopilot. 10 laps left.

6 laps. Finally one lap left. Whippet called out the time "8.50!" Wow I was surprised. I knew I could swim, but this is faster than some of the other, more fitter boys. But than again my mom also told me I was meant for swimming. Hopefully rescuing too.

I stopped swimming. I had finished the 800m swim in under 9.30 minutes. Pretty good I thought.

I treaded water at the end of my lane. Catching my breath. I looked over at Dustin, who has a triumphant smile. Telling me he made the time.

"You made it?" I asked to make sure.

"Ya... You?" He asked out of breath. I nod, happy with myself.
